The fitters arrived at time stated and were immediately faced with a problem, it was not possible to access our garden either by gate or through the house as the pre-made door was much too large. (when the surveyor visited for measurements he had failed to check access) The fitters, however, would not be beaten and arranged for some extra pairs of hands, which arrived very promptly, to help solve the problem. From this point on I have nothing but praise for these fitters who were very efficient, polite and courteous, doing an excellent job and leaving my house and garden immaculate, even offering to hoover dust sheets I had laid to protect my carpet. A big thank you to them both for a very satisfactory job completed, with no complaints.

Overall the experience was positive - although there was an issue with the installation of a cat flap. This was resolved to my satisfaction promptly.
Initial installation unsatisfactory, door very difficult to open, sealing gasket sticking to exterior paintwork and pulling pieces of it off. F and C rep came out , checked door over thoroughly and basically could not see why door was problem to open, but touched up the paint and hoped it might improve. Did not and rep out again 18/4 accepted no improvement and took problem back to F and C. who promptly contacted Manufacturers, Their rep out 26/4. Seal changed and attempt made to patch up paintwork. Door now opening alright, but finish spoilt. F and C arranged for door slab to be replaced, fitted very efficiently by manufacturer on 9 May. Now a satisfied customer.
The communication for the windows was fine, but for other products was pretty par with FCD. I have emailed separately.

No hard sell, no talking silly money in the first place only to offer big discount, just a straight reasonable quotation ,no deposit needed, just a small payment for survey. The fitters came on time and installed the windows and door with one mishap a windowpane was cracked; the wrong size trickle vents were supplied so there was a second visit to complete these minor problems. They were happy for me to withhold some of the payment until I was happySo yes all was good in the end.

I have been looking for sash windows for our 1880 built cottage and nothing really hit the mark or I was expected to have salesmen coming round in the evening when I had finished work, something I didn't want.
I visited the new show room in Ely and had a straight forward conversation with Mark the sales person he got a sample window in for me to look at from both a style and material type. It was easy to then go ahead and order and there are plenty of guarantees in place with both the company and the manufacturer. The work was completed promptly and I was kept up dated at all times. The installation was quick and tidy .
The windows have made the cottage, they look perfectly in place and we have had so many comments about how nice the cottage looks. The new back door is excellent as well. Overall I would not hesitate to recommend Frames Conservatories Direct to anyone who is looking for new windows or doors.

Frames Conservatories Direct (FCD) installed new D.G. windows for us in April and December 2016. The whole process went very smoothly and speedily. I was particulary impressed with their sales representative Mark Tate, who is courteous and professional abd does not emply any of the usual methods to try to force you to buy. Purchasing DG is something I have avoided over the years for this very reason. All the other FCD employees I dealt with were also a pleasure to work with. I have no hesitation in recommending FCD to all.

From the initial consultation, through to the fitting and after care, Frames Conservatories Direct and yourself in particular have provided an open, friendly and professional service.
You have been very transparent with your pricing, there was no hidden charges and are competitively priced. So much so in fact, FCDs price was under half that of another company who were offering similar products at what, clearly were inflated prices.
When it came to surveying and fitting, this was all done efficiently, with the minimum of fuss and finished to a high standard by a team of polite and friendly fitters who cleared up as they went leaving the house exactly as they found it (bar new windows of course).
The whole process from your first visit to completion of our house took little over a month and despite originally being sceptical of 'plastic windows' I can honestly say I would recommend not only FCDs products and services but also your friendly and relaxed approach without hesitation.
