I’ve just had a new front door fitted by Custom Glaze and I have to say that I’m really pleased with the result. The door is well fitted, good looking and sturdy. The fitters, Dave and Tom, arrived promptly at the appointed time, did a quick and efficient job – and left no mess at all – they made sure that we understood the locking procedures for the new door – a really thorough job and we’re very pleased.

Installation really good, but took a bit longer than expected as there were deep ties on the old frame, but all done ok. Covered up areas of risk from flying debris, and cleaned up everything after install was complete, and all working and in excellent condition since.

Delivery took about 10wks as quoted. Manufactured door with letter box, non actually specified but fitted it anyway as existing door frame was just about out. Immediately ordered a replacement. Delivery took about 4wks. In the meantime door lock became very stiff, almost unable to open. Once new door was installed it took the engineer well over an hour alone to fix this. In all of the is the staff were very helpful and courteous. Even with the issues I would still recommend as the guys were very good.

Custom Glaze installed a very large fully glazed patio door consisting of two large units in total over 3m wide.
The installation was troubled because the supplier had sent the wrong glass, but this was quickly corrected and we are very happy with the result. The installation team was punctual, careful, and attentive.
Replace Lounge window 2551 x1400, and landing tilt and turn window 943 x 1188. Team of three arrived on time and completed the job in about three hours.

However, 3 cool-lite panes of glass for the French windows were the wrong shade of tint, and because of time issues during the original installation, some omitted elements, finishing off and making good had to be carried out when these were replaced.

Very pleased overall with our new conservatory. The installer was always on time and was a very good worker. He hardly took any breaks and when completed he took the time to explain about everything ie: windows, door and vents. He also left it all very clean and tidy. It took him four working days to complete the installation. We then had electricians, plasterers and then it was complete when the skirting was fitted.

Four bedroom windows to replace old double glazing. Installers were punctual and courteous. Workmanship seemed good and took most of the day (workmen finished about 3.30/3.45) but clearing up, making good slight damage to wooden windowsills could have been better. Had to ask them to use filler on some of the damage and they had to return the following day with window keys so at that stage, requested they finish clearing up, especially mortar and rubbish on flat bay window roof.
We love the product but the communication from deposit to installation was shocking.
Custom Glaze delivered and fitted the windows to the schedule that we had agreed. However, several of the window panes were badly damaged and replacement panes needed to be ordered and subsequently refitted.
The installation has now been completed to our satisfaction.

Installation went well apart from 1 cotswold glass pane was delivered with horizontal instead of vertical grain, and 1 window had no floating mullion. The former was replaced; the latter we got a rebate. Slightly disappointing that the front windows get condensation inside on some winter days.

Took a long time for the windows to be supplied but once they arrived it was a quick and professional installation completed in one and a half days.
Initial installation was done on20/08/2021, however the door slab had been made incorrectly so that the handle prevented the letter flap from opening fully. The re-made door slab was fitted on 02/11/2021 and is now completely satisfactory. The work was carried out with no inconvenience to us and the installers on both occasions wer very courteous.
We had a set of double glazed patio doors installed which we are happy with, however the customer service was fankly quite mediocre, the doors were put in the wrong way around to what was clearly asked for, a problem apparently with their surveyor.
The survey was seemingly also not submitted as when I rang to query the delay they said they would send out a surveyor and were surprised when I explained that he had already been.
They also requested full payment prior to the error of the door fitting being carried out, which I thought was inappropriate as the mistake was not mine.
I also did not recieve my FENSA certificate and when I queried it they said it was due to a technical error (I don't believe they had submitted the form to FENSA).
All in all happy with the doors, but had to chase everything up myself, and never received any apology for issues, hence a recent conservatory tender went to another local company who have been outstanding.

The installers was clean workers left the site clean. However there was marks on the unit which I had to get fixed. They coloured them in not 100% but better than before. There was no stays on the doors which they came back and put on in the same day so that was good service.
I was told there was a two mitre rule on seeing things, that I thought was wrong.

Upvc replacement windows and French doors for whole house. Arrived very late on first day of installation and didn’t complete any work. The delivery of fascia boards etc didn’t arrive on time which caused additional issues. Very little communication from the office to explain issues and I had to chase several times. Once the fitters actually started they worked extremely hard and were courteous and tidy. The workmanship was good. Unfortunately a roof tile was broken at some point during the installation (either by installers or scaffolders) and no one bothered to fix it or inform me of the damage. Thankfully I noticed once the scaffolding was removed and Custom Glaze sent someone to replace the roof tile a few days later.
We ordered eleven white replacement external d/g leaded windows with sculptured profiles on 14th June at the Custom Glaze showroom which were supplied and fitted during three days on 22nd 23rd and 24th September.
The installation was very smooth and with practically no mess, the fitter turned up on the days as stated and was thorough in his work, he did an excellent job, we are very pleased with the end result and would recommend Custom Glaze to anyone else.

Installation of replacement front door, including new brickwork to accommodate the wider modern front door. On delivery, Monday 9 August, we noticed that the half moon with spokes differed from the one we ordered in that the we got a patterned glass instead. To avoid an already long waiting time, we decided to keep the door as they said that the panel could be changed later on. As the new brickwork was progressing, we noticed that a large number of the new bricks were damaged eg broken corners and facias. This was totally unacceptable and the installers actually agreed with us. There were still good undamaged bricks lying around. About 10 bricks had to be replaced. In the end, the job took 2 full days. On completion, we were hurriedly shown how to operate the new locking mechanism and had to sign a chit to show that. Later we found that it was impossible to lock or unlock the door and we had to use the back door instead. On Thursday, we rang Customglaze and the receptionist told we would have to wait over a week for someone to check it. We were made to feel that it was our fault. Later in the day a maintenance man appeared on his way home from work, and he himself had difficulty with the lock and said the door needed adjustment. On Friday 13 August, three days after the door was installed, a maintenance man made adjustments to the door clearance and we managed to operate the lock though it still takes some effort. We did not expect to have this difficulty with a new door. We are pensioners and did not expect that it needed such strength to operate a front door even though it was supposed to be so high security.
We also had to show the maintenance man that only one holding down screw was fixed to the metal threshold plate instead of 3.
The missing two screws we found in the garden which would have broken the lawn mower had we not seen them.
The installers were not particularly courteous.

It took over two weeks to finish, due to installers going sick and cancelling the job. Most were very good, had an issue with a credit note which was not applied to bill when the price changed, due to glass being unavailable.

There were some unusual design issues and delays, communication could have been better but the work was completed well and within 4/5 weeks. Workmanship excellent, installers were punctual and very courteous, left site tidy. The project was disrupted to a degree due to covid pandemic and need for additional sub-contractors for building work hence work was spread over a couple of weeks.
Main Intsallation took place on 24th April 2021 with good workmanship and quality throughout, with fiiting carried out out on the day aggreed taking less than half a day, to conplete. However a small problem was that the georgian bar spacing was not correct in the sealed windows (fault of 3rd party supplier, not custom Glaze), which unfortunately was noticeable and did not match the other windows and dooors etc.. New glass panels were made and fitted on the 15th of April 2021 correcting the small problem. Other than this custom Glaze quality and fiiting was/is very good

The job was completed on 6th April 2021 and the finished work looks very good. Custom Glaze were excellent throughout.

They were polite clean and tidy. The job could not be finished due to a missing pane of glass for one of the windows and a temporary fix was applied which was fine. The job was completed on 6th April 2021 and the finished work looks very good. Custom Glaze were excellent throughout.
The installers were great, punctual, polite and efficient. The installation took 3 days and I was pleased with the finished product.
The installation went smoothly, and was completed within 2.5 hours. I was promised that a damaged beading will be replaced. After installation I noticed that the sliding door is snagging the fitted letter box, and have asked the installers to investigate when they come to replace the beading. A broadband cable was also disturbed during the installation, and I shall ask for that to be refixed to the wall below the door.

The installation was carried out very efficiently and safely on a very cold day. The installer was polite and kept me informed of progress throughout. It took about half a day, as described.
The whole project took a while because of pandemic. But the installation works smoothly and efficiently. Now with new windows and door the house is warm and quiet, no longer bothered by the traffic noise nearby. Also we received a lot of compliments from neighbours.

This is the first time I have ever left a negative review about anything. It is not something I want to do, but it has reached a point where I feel that I have no other option. We employed Custom Glaze for a project that we were advised would take 2 weeks. It took 5 weeks and 3 months on it still isn't completed. It was a series of delays and mistakes throughout and not only did Custom Glaze not inform us of what was going on they repeatedly ignored our attempts to contact them. We have asked several companies to quote for laying flooring in the conservatory. They all said the same. Until the problems that Custom Glaze have left with the conservatory floor are remedied (see photos) it is impossible to lay any flooring. We have asked Custom Glaze to fix the issues. We have been promised a response, but in line with previous experience we haven’t had one! Customer service at Custom Glaze is atrocious and our experience of working with them this far has been very stressful to say the least.

very disappointed with the magnet that holds the master door open on the bi folds. Because my doors are quite large and heavy, the magnet is virtually useless and doesnt hold the door open satisfactorily so allows it to slam shut (which it has done whilst catching the key and has bent the frame)

The work was carried out according to the advised three and a half day schedule and was completed on time. The Workmen were very careful placing covers over carpets and furniture, all debris resulting from the installation was removed leaving the house as clean as it was before they started. I had imagined a degree of redecoration would be required post installation, but this is not the case, the windows look as though they have been there forever. We are now asking the installer, Custom Glaze, to quote for replacing out garden room windows and door.

We had some issues with the first door that was installed, but the team at Custom Glaze sorted it out with no quibble, which was great. The only improvement point I can suggest is that they are more proactive with their communication. When we called them we found out that everything was getting sorted, but no-one proactively called us. The installers were great and knew exactly what they were doing, gave us confidence in the company.

A couple of little bits that I feel could do with a little sealant to "finish it off" but that is probably me being too picky. The Custom Glaze Windows and installation of the 7 windows and the patio and back doors were very good,and really nice installers although 1 window wasn't correct when they went to fit it took a couple of days and it was done .But there were errors with the initial drawings of my front door design ,then I had to recall the surveyor as he had not completed his survey correctly he had been in a terrible rush and had not consulted with me at all in his visit and rushed off forgetting the front door off the survey , and on calling to explain this,I was told adamantly that they didn't have a surveyor of that name eventually they realized they did, he came back again in a rush again, I called back a couple of times as his final drawings were poor and I wasn't sure he had put the window and door openings correct I had to explain over the phone as there was no offer of a further surveyor check .Then came the saga of the front door which was fitted a long time after the windows, possibly because they surveyor forgot it in the first visit or maybe because the door company they had used for many years had moved and over the cause of discussion I was initially advised that they were not aware they were moving and then that they were aware of this move but that it shouldn't be a problem but it weeks and weeks afterwards that the door was fitted this was now just before xmas and I had put my order started in August .Then the lock broke causing us to have to climb out of a window to open the front door.Custom Glaze came out and the first thing he said was if it doesn't happen for me it wont be changed I don't think he believed us.But fortunately it did happen to him and he put in a temporary lock but this meant we had to lock and unlock every time we used the door and this went on throughout Christmas as they couldn't get a new lock this was terrible with extra people visiting and having to unlock the door an re-lock every time anyone came or left or went to a car or the garage and worrying in case of a fire.,to cut a very long story shorter ,well shorter than the time it took them finally complete, many further frustrating visits re the front door lock and so many calls made to custom glaze it was completed in about 10 months I'm still not happy with the fitting of the last lock but hey I was was pleased to see the back of it all and couldn't bring myself to call about it ,now at least I have a corrected design front door with a working lock if fitted a little crooked.I was left disappointed not in the windows but that: what should have been a great experience of a big purchase was marred but all manner of mostly easily preventable issues that dragged on till we were thoroughly fed up and wished we had gone with a competitor that we had also had a quote from. Custom Glaze it is with pleasure that your kind offer of a gesture of 'Good Will' was deducted from the final account but in your paperwork it states a 5% discount if problems occur with the double glazing which if you consider I had the patio door adjusted for sticking(and it needs doing again) and the front door lock took months of inconvenience by not working correctly etc I believe the small(no where near 5%) I have not paid of the final bill should be the discount for the problems that occurred on top of the satisfactory apology via the gesture of good will payment .Please don't hesitate to contact me on my mobile or by email at your earliest convenience.

We cannot fault the installers of our new back door with an integrated side window. They were punctual, polite and the product was installed to a high standard. The whole process from ordering to installing took less than a month and Custom Glaze worked hard to meet our requirements, made more difficult due to having a set time frame in order to work around kitchen installers..
We are also really happy with the product, which has left us feeling more secure in our home.

When we first contacted Custom Glaze they were very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately we had lots of issues with the installation from start to finish with their contractors and the company itself. We also had to have them back within a couple of months as the conservatory started to leak very badly when under heavy rain. Although all the issues were sorted it was a very stressful time from start to finish. Not a company I would want to deal with again.

This was a 2 day installation in very hot weather. Despite the temperature Dave and Tom did a good job. One sealed unit had cracked in transit but a replacement was ordered immediately and this is due to be fitted next week together with some adjustments to a couple of the window fittings. I am very pleased with my windows.

Having fitted our windows etc a few years ago, one of our bedroom windows had a condensation issue develop.
True to their word, they came out as quickly as you could (fitters schedules permitting), when they said they would and replaced the item efficiently. A refreshing change nowadays. The only thing is the new window looks so clean I now have to clean the rest! — Ha ha.

The Vevo product itself has markedly improved the energy efficiency and aesthetics of my home. I’d like to praise how straightforward Custom Glaze made the end-to-end process of procuring new windows and doors. From the straight-talking salesperson Callum to expert surveyor Trevor to experienced and efficient installers Dave and Tom, the whole process was hassle free and the outcome is superb. Callum listened to our requirements, made helpful suggestions and quickly turned round an itemised price. Trevor’s vast experience was evident. He made several smart suggestions during the survey, which further improved the value of the specification. Dave and Tom worked extremely hard in challenging wintery conditions to proficiently install nine windows over three storeys, two bay windows with soffits/fascias, French doors, and front and back doors to an extremely high standard in just 3.5 days. This included making good around exterior render and installing substantial interior trims to finish the windows really nicely. Communication with everyone at Custom Glaze was excellent throughout.

It took most of the day. The installer was without his usual young assistant who was off sick. The kitchen window was tricky to fit as it involved trimming the worktop and other adjustments. All done very well. I was also very grateful that the installer was able to fit the bathroom window without damaging the wallpaper round the window.

We were replacing some very poor quality and insecure double glazed windows. The new windows are excellent - sound insulation has improved enormously, there are no more draughts and we no longer have condensation on the inside of the windows.

Installer arrived a bit later than expected because he had to wait for steel lintel which was part of order but was not ready. Then, when he did arrive he found the lintel was the wrong size (wide enough for the door but not the side panel) and had to order another and then go an collect it. This was not very impressive!
Other than the lintel fiasco the installation went smoothly and installer was courteous and efficient. I am very happy with the end result.

The fitter arrived on time and the work was carried out as expected, but on inspection with the fitter he noticed there damage to the window which he reported. On further inspection there was damage on the other panes, these have been ordered and will fitted this day 05/06/17.
The workmanship was excellent. The contractor was multi-skilled - his installation of the windows could not be faulted and his brick-laying and plastering skills were excellent (he was required to partly brick up a window). He and his assistant were extremely courteous, punctual and accommodating and we would definitely recommend him and Custom Glaze to other people. The installation was carried out in quick time (approx. 2.5 days).

The project was to convert a conventional conservatory into a Garden Room that we could use all year round, by the installation of new windows, doors and an Ultraframe 360 roof. We agreed the contract on 22nd December 2016; construction was started mid-February 2017 and was completely finished on 8th March 2017. This schedule was advised in writing to us beforehand, was adhered to b the contractor and we were happy with it. All of the trades involved were punctual, highly experienced, polite and efficient and we have ended up with a high quality product that meets our expectations.

Absolutely as ordered. Really well finished. Perfectly square (horizontal and vertical). More and better internal finishing than expected - greatly enhanced the inside appearance of the house. The well presented fitters were on time, and as soon (almost) as the front door was opened to them they put down dust sheets and began work.
The two chaps were great, arrived on time and obviously were skilled and experienced, with a pride in their work - very rare nowadays.
