Custom Glaze

The Custom Glaze Windows and installation of the 7 windows and the patio and back doors were very good,and really nice installers although 1 window wasn't correct when they went to fit it took a couple of days and it was done .But there were errors with the initial drawings of my front door design ,then I had to recall the surveyor as he had not completed his survey correctly he had been in a terrible rush and had not consulted with me at all in his visit and rushed off forgetting the front door off the survey , and on calling to explain this,I was told adamantly that they didn't have a surveyor of that name eventually they realized they did, he came back again in a rush again, I called back a couple of times as his final drawings were poor and I wasn't sure he had put the window and door openings correct I had to explain over the phone as there was no offer of a further surveyor check .Then came the saga of the front door which was fitted a long time after the windows, possibly because they surveyor forgot it in the first visit or maybe because the door company they had used for many years had moved and over the cause of discussion I was initially advised that they were not aware they were moving and then that they were aware of this move but that it shouldn't be a problem but it weeks and weeks afterwards that the door was fitted this was now just before xmas and I had put my order started in August .Then the lock broke causing us to have to climb out of a window to open the front door.Custom Glaze came out and the first thing he said was if it doesn't happen for me it wont be changed I don't think he believed us.But fortunately it did happen to him and he put in a temporary lock but this meant we had to lock and unlock every time we used the door and this went on throughout Christmas as they couldn't get a new lock this was terrible with extra people visiting and having to unlock the door an re-lock every time anyone came or left or went to a car or the garage and worrying in case of a fire.,to cut a very long story shorter ,well shorter than the time it took them finally complete, many further frustrating visits re the front door lock and so many calls made to custom glaze it was completed in about 10 months I'm still not happy with the fitting of the last lock but hey I was was pleased to see the back of it all and couldn't bring myself to call about it ,now at least I have a corrected design front door with a working lock if fitted a little crooked.I was left disappointed not in the windows but that: what should have been a great experience of a big purchase was marred but all manner of mostly easily preventable issues that dragged on till we were thoroughly fed up and wished we had gone with a competitor that we had also had a quote from. Custom Glaze it is with pleasure that your kind offer of a gesture of 'Good Will' was deducted from the final account but in your paperwork it states a 5% discount if problems occur with the double glazing which if you consider I had the patio door adjusted for sticking(and it needs doing again) and the front door lock took months of inconvenience by not working correctly etc I believe the small(no where near 5%) I have not paid of the final bill should be the discount for the problems that occurred on top of the satisfactory apology via the gesture of good will payment .Please don't hesitate to contact me on my mobile or by email at your earliest convenience.
