Custom Glaze

Our customer was looking for a room as an alternative to a traditional home extension but which retained the same look and feel. The 'LivinRoom' was the perfect solution offering the light and sky of a conservatory with the walls and ceiling of an extension. The 'LivinRoom' can be built with windows all round, however in this case our customer opted for brick piers to give a greater sense of solidity. As an alternative to brick, insulated Loggia columns can also be used, it really is down to personal taste as well as complementing the existing home. Inside the room, there are downlighters inset into the perimeter ceiling as well as a suspended centre light. With the addition of tasteful furnishings, this installation really is superb!

This "Hipped lean-to" Conservatory is one of our recent installations. Our customers wanted a stylish and airy room in which to relax but one that also made the most of the natural light. Although a lean-to offered the space required, given the position of the house, it didn't quite make the most of the light available. The solution was a 'Hipped lean to' design where the hipped sides in the roof allow even more light into the room. With its calm interior, it really is a lovely welcoming and relaxing space.

Additional space was added to our customer's home to provide an area for relaxation and dining. The French doors give easy access to the garden whilst the use of glass in the walls and roof bring maximum light into the room.

Our customers wanted a room to relax in all year round. The position of the house made a solid roof ideal so that the room keeps cool in Summer whilst harnessing the warmth of the Winter sun as it moves around the property. French doors to the side and front aspect means that the room can be opened up on both sides to the garden whilst a tilt and turn window on the side wall, brings additional light and ventilation into the room.

This project involved removing an existing old structure and replacing it with a new conservatory. We added French doors to the front of the lean-to section and bi-folding doors to the area that faces onto the peaceful views of the Grand Union Canal. The roof was glazed with Pilkington Activ-blue/KS sealed units which are self cleaning, heat reflective and filter out UV rays keeping the room at a comfortable temperature all year round.
