My Mother decided to have a small square conservatory built on the back of her bungalow and discovered the Conservatory Land Advert through reading through some Sunday supplement magazines. She discussed it with myself and also her builder as she wanted to find out our opinions. We both thought it sounded like a good deal, so she went ahead and contacted this company. She explained that her builder would be the person to deal with the order and gave his name and contact details. He drew up plans with measurements and all the required things for the construction of said conservatory. and sent these off. despite being told that he was the person to contact, the company kept contacting my mother (soon to be 80) who had to refer them back to our builder. This was quite frustrating for both my Mother our builder. There seemed to be a definite lack of communication all the way through the process from ordering to delivery, I feel that this really ought to be a much more efficient process! We were also lead to believe that following the payment of the deposit, the balance would be paid on delivery of the materials....this did not happen. The final balance was demanded before we had even had a sniff of a delivery date. Delivery date arrived after a small delay of a couple of weeks, thankfully our builder lives literally across the road from my Mother, because the lorry turned up and the driver expected someone to help him off with all of the materials! If the person is an elderly person how are they to be expected to carry heavy articles? This needs to be stated clearly that two strong individuals will be required to unload. The instructions were missing from the boxes and we were told we could get them on line...not helpful. Finally the builder sourced the wall insulation and installed insulation materials under the conserva base as it was far cheaper to purchase this himself than to pay for these from the company. The finished product however is perfect for my Mother, and she enjoys sitting out there every day. It has given her a nice bright extra space where she can entertain her friends, and a place where she can sit comfortably enjoying the sun without getting cold.
