T&K are pleased to announce that they plan to extend the solar panel installation on their factory roof. The current 210 solar panel system was installed in November 2011 and generates 20% of the energy used in the manufacture of UPVC windows and Composite doors. The proposal is to install a further 50kW, approximately 200 solar panels to the south-west and north-east elevations at its site in Wellingborough. John Leary, Director at T&K commented: "With financial returns on solar panels being better now than ever before it is a no-brainer to install the solar PV system. To enable us to install the solar panels, and due to the size of the solar panel system, we need permission from the distribution network operator prior to starting the work. Work on the installation of the solar panel system is due to commence in January 2015 and shall be open to businesses and individuals alike to view.

Having already used T&K for the building of our conservatory, we decided that we wanted an extension to the back of the property that we could turn into a utility area. We decided to use architects drawings rather than using T&K's design service and the building of the tiled extension incorporated new plumbing, electrics, plastering and flooring. We have been extremely impressed with how T&k overcame the difficulties we put in front of them! The tiled roof of the extension gives the feel of an extension but with so much glazing to the gable and sides of the room we do not lose any light. T&K received a visit from auditors BBA on the 10th October to establish if our standards continue to meet the high standards required to maintain membership of the elite "Ultrainstaller" group. T&K's audit included displaying a sound knowledge in the design and construction of Conservatories. All members must achieve a mandatory 100% proven customer satisfaction rating. This is independently monitored by the BBA (British Board of Agreement) through regular surveillance visits. Each member is scored across 6 key categories and must achieve a minimum overall score of 67/100 to maintain membership. T&K previously held the highest national score � 93/100 in November 2011. We have today found out that we have received a mark of 94/100 - again the highest score of any conservatory installation company in the UK. Tim Lowin, Assessor at BBA stated �This very effective large local Window, Door and Conservatory company show a determination to determine to develop their market as can be seen by the changes and improvements that have taken place since the original assessment in May 2007. The T&K Home Improvements Family Day was held at The Horseshoe in Sywell on Saturday 13 September 2014 and was attended by 160 team members and their families. With plenty of activities for the kids, both large and small, a street magician, a Hog Roast and Barbecue, the day was a resounding success. T&K also donated 2 prizes for a raffle in aid of the Lakelands Hospice, a London Theatre and Dinner for Two, and a family pass to the Tower of London with a Thames Boat trip too.
