About Lords Roofing

Sorry there are no posts yet.
May 2019
I had a large garage reroofed in 2014. I employed the company as the salesman boasted that my place of employment were using them. A scaffolding wall was built around the edge of the garage roof for health and safety but it meant the job couldn't be seen. After the job was 'complete' it leaked consistently along the join with the house. I kept sending messages and photos of the water pouring in. They came along a few times and put more sealant on but the problem didn't stop. There were also broken slates. At no time did they say they would get to the bottom of the problem and they would sort it under their guarantee. Even though I emailed that I might have to get someone to look at it. No advice re guarantee. This year, after being sick of the problem I asked a local builder to just repair the slates. He did other jobs for me including a very good reroof of the front of the house. I told lords I would do this, but again, no response, the secretary just seems to decide what gets passed on. My builder and his mate started and showed me the substandard, unbranded felt used, the way numerous around 200 broken slates had been hidden, the numerous holes in them, the short and frequently ungalvanized nails used and the gaps in the lathes where they couldn't be bothered cutting and fitting pieces properly and the shortfall of slates and felt from the wall. No wonder it leaked! The back end of the wall to the roof had gaps to and was never fixed but hidden by a fascia. Despite the contacts I have made during the last couple of weeks I have had no return calls or emails. I spoke to someone yesterday who said he was going to take the matter to the management. Rang up today to check and the secretary appears to have made the decision. Appalling customer service, and I found out that the roof leaks at place of work. I would never recommend this company to anyone.
