Avoid. Charge a fortune, turn up for 20 mins and do a terrible job, then leave and you will not get them back when you realise your roof is still leaking. Inexperienced workers who have no interest in doing a good job using the cheapest materials. Cowboys is putting it generously.

Lords Roofing. The epitome of cowboy builders, and conmen. We had them carry out roof work in 2000. They supposedly re-roofed our slate roof with new battens and felt. Re-slating where necessary. What a load of cobblers! The slates were not secured properly, one large slate fell off and landed just outside our front door. Good job no one was coming or going. The ridge tiles were all loose as the cement or whatever they use was rubbish as it never stuck anything properly. In recent winds the front patio of the house was badly littered with pieces of the “cement” they used, and the ridge tiles looked like a profile of a roller coaster ride. On ringing them back (several times) they promised to return to remedy the issues, but never showed up! They had their money of us (circa £6000.00), the 10-year guarantee is a joke, as they do not respond. Other roofers have pointed all the aspects of the bad work out to us.

Please avoid this company. The Director Fergus Park has had multiple company failures. The guarantees are not worth the paper they are written on. The company re-roofed my kitchen with the wrong type of tiles for the roof, as it has a 9 degree slope. I had to tell them to retrofit Velux roof stands to ensure the Velux windows stopped leaking. They did not install the flashing correctly around one window and it leaked into my kitchen. Despite numerous promises to rectify the job, I have been ignored and I am now considering a private legal action against the company.

Three years ago we had a complete re-roof from Lord's including 2 valley gutters at a cost of £5000. On completion of the work 3 years ago I questioned the roofer from Lord's as to why I could still see the old bitumen felt on the undersides of the valley gutters nearest to the neighbours wall, I was told he didn't want to disturb it because it went over to next door's roof but assured me the new felt had been layed over the old. After the heatwave of July/August this year (2020) the bitumen felt expanded revealing that there was no new felt over the old felt and I could see daylight through the tiles. After speaking to Lord's on the 13/8/20 I was told I was lucky they were still trading after Lockdown, she also said that Trading Standards wouldn't do anything and that we would be put on the 'remedial' list - whatever that is. I reminded her that Lord's had only completed half of the job and that the roof was not water tight, this did not have any effect with the woman on the other end of the phone. After checking Trading Standards and Citizen's Advice websites, because I have entered into a contract with Lord's, Lord's needs to be reminded that they have not completed their contract and they need to return to the unfinished job and complete it. So I rang again to remind them of this on the 20/8/20. I was again told I was on the 'remedial' list and that someone would ring me back in 2 hours. It is now the 26/9/20 and I'm still waiting for the call back or anyone from the 'remedial' team to turn up and show a modicum of professionalism that their 10 year guarantee has promised. Also since then more mortar has fallen off the ridge tiles. So, to cut a very long story short, I have spent £5000 on a roof that will leak this winter and Lord's do not care. They have taken my money and not completed the job they were contracted to do. I have had a professional roofer come and have a look at Lord's 'work' and he gave me a list of how much Lord's did not complete the job, including not laying the lead flashing in the valley gutters correctly - yes you can see it from the attic, holes stuffed with loft insulation at the top of the chimney breast and the lead flashing around the chimney not being layed correctly. This is all on top of old felt not being removed and new felt being layed. If I could give 0 stars I would. Do not give Lord's your money and do as I did and hire a professional and qualified roofer in the first place because the 10 year guarantee and other certificates I was supplied with from Lord's don't appear to be worth the paper they are written on. Lord's, if you are reading this and call me to discuss it, at least I will have had a reaction from you. I have also included a photo of the standard of work £5000 will buy from Lord's.

I contracted Lords to replace my conservatory roof and was promised a ten year insurance backed guarantee to cover the work in case Lords ceased trading. Although the work was carried out to an acceptable standard I have been informed by them that Lords are no longer in the Federation of Roofing Contractors and the guarantee will not be provided. I have since taken this up with trading standards and will wait for their advice on how to take the matter further

I had a large garage reroofed in 2014. I employed the company as the salesman boasted that my place of employment were using them. A scaffolding wall was built around the edge of the garage roof for health and safety but it meant the job couldn't be seen. After the job was 'complete' it leaked consistently along the join with the house. I kept sending messages and photos of the water pouring in. They came along a few times and put more sealant on but the problem didn't stop. There were also broken slates. At no time did they say they would get to the bottom of the problem and they would sort it under their guarantee. Even though I emailed that I might have to get someone to look at it. No advice re guarantee. This year, after being sick of the problem I asked a local builder to just repair the slates. He did other jobs for me including a very good reroof of the front of the house. I told lords I would do this, but again, no response, the secretary just seems to decide what gets passed on. My builder and his mate started and showed me the substandard, unbranded felt used, the way numerous around 200 broken slates had been hidden, the numerous holes in them, the short and frequently ungalvanized nails used and the gaps in the lathes where they couldn't be bothered cutting and fitting pieces properly and the shortfall of slates and felt from the wall. No wonder it leaked! The back end of the wall to the roof had gaps to and was never fixed but hidden by a fascia. Despite the contacts I have made during the last couple of weeks I have had no return calls or emails. I spoke to someone yesterday who said he was going to take the matter to the management. Rang up today to check and the secretary appears to have made the decision. Appalling customer service, and I found out that the roof leaks at place of work. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Replaced the roof and pointed chimney after the work was completed and their sub contractors had left we cleaned the floor and 4 month old panels we found them to have a chip in we reported this to them and this whent on for 3 months with no response they even ignored their own Federation request only after Trading Standards were involved did a reply come denying all knowledge of the damage and basically calling us liars about the time this damage was done .We would never recommend this company especially if working on property were fences etc. were in excellent condition.

I asked Lords for diagnosis of what was causing a damp problem in my house, and was told it was 'definitely' caused by holes in our chimney. On their recommendation therefore we had our chimney removed by them at a cost of just under £500. This however had no effect on the damp problem whatsoever, as it was not in fact the problem. In other words I had, on their recommendation paid for an expensive job which did not need doing. After spending several weeks avoiding my calls, claiming they would come round to look at the job and not doing so etc. they finally admitted they were not going to do anything about it or compensate me in any way. Shoddy, misleading, and about to be reported to Trading Standards.

We had lords roofing replace our roof in November 2021. Happy with the job at the time, however in January we noticed the end caps had come off our gable end and just needed fixing back on. My wife rang Lords Roofing who stated some one would be out to fix them back on. Sadly no one turned up after two and a half weeks, so my wife rang again to try and arrange them to be fixed which is possibly only a 10 to 15 min Job we have no idea why the girl on the phone was so abusive to us calling us liars etc.. I asked to speak to Dave or Max who dealt with our roof, she was shouting down the phone so loud being rude and totally unprofessional. I told her I would come down the office to sort it out hoping someone a bit more stable and professional would be there, she shouted down the phone good luck with that mate and slamed the phone down on me. We were supposed to receive our 10 year guarantee and receipt for cash payment which never came. Still our roof is not fixed I sure you can come to your own conclusions. We were happy with our roof but you need a company that gives you a good after service and not just takes your money and runs.

Lords replaced our house and porch roof in 2019. A couple of weeks ago we noticed that the porch roof needed some attention as birds were eying it up to build a nest. Lords were contacted and less than a week later two very helpful lads turned up and sorted the problem out under the 10 year guarantee. I must say that I was a bit apprehensive when I read the negative views of this company, but I have nothing but good things to say about them. The only thing that could be improved is their lack of contact prior to their visit and we may have been out. Well done Lords. We will certainly recommend you.
