Patio doors and side panel replacement: A very unsatisfactory process from the start with an equally poor result. The surveyor made an error in his measurements, so when the old wooden doors were removed leaving a 2.5 metre opening, fitters found that it would not fit. So they made it fit by cutting away a section of my kitchen floor. It went down hill from there. on the evening of the installation it rained and the doors leaked water into the kitchen. The threshold board was not fitted or supported properly which caused it to slope and creak, doors would not close properly and the making good to the plaster work around the frame was appalling. SEHBAC sent a fitter on several occasions and David the fitter was very good. But very little can be done to a an installation that was bad from the outset. SEHBAC offered £130 compensation. SEHBAC get 1 star only because I can imagine how good their could be if all their fitters were like David - who didn't do my work.
