I had 2 doors installed at a cost of £4700 a few months ago and took out an interest free loan that was offered to me by the company. As I didn't have to settle the total for 12 months I thought it was a good deal.
I had my concerns during the initial install where I could see daylight coming in through the bottom of one the doors. I pointed this out to the fitters and they adjusted the door but the following day I could feel cold air gushing in from the bottom of both doors. I used my thermal camera and could see that the bottom of both doors were compromised and not sealed.
I raised this with the company and since then have had 4 visits adjusting various parts of the door. One of the locks was not engaging which they fixed by moving the frame and packing it with fillers. The threshold seals had to be turned around so they could make contact with the bottom of the doors because
the threshold had been installed too low in relation to the door.
I still have cold spots at the bottom of the door because of the low threshold and the only way to rectify this is to remove everything and start again.
The initial install took 2 guys 6 hours. For that I was charged approx £2000 for the labour and got a terrible job which still isn't right. I have asked for compensation and the company have ignored my email and advised the loan company that I was happy and that they should release the money to them. This is really an appalling unethical way to run a company. I have notified the loan company and will see what their response is.
I urge anyone to think twice before using this company.
Worst customer service ever
I wouldn’t leave them any stars if possible They are that bad! Customer service is totally non existent. The worst door company I have ever had the misfortune to ask for a quote .
I want to make complain to your company. I have confirmed the conservatory job to your company, sales consultant is Martin Dunnett.
1) when on June, we yet to decide the Garage Door, Martin confirmed the price will be keep it in 2,000 pounds before my conservatory finish, but now on was need to increase to 2,300 pounds, it can't be acceptable.
2) At the beginning in your Ipswich office when June, Martin also confirmed that he will follow up all paper work get approve bewteen council and BDW homes, but we got BDW homes inform we yet to get the conservatory consent, I keep to send Martin many e-mails but no any feedback fm him!
3) Payment issue, one Nov-23 Cliff unfirendly come to my home said that I need to make the whole payment in same day to continue to do the project, as per the contract payment should be split to three time and we need one to two days go bank for transfer. I have call out to Martin, but also no any feedback fm you until today, anyway, we already settled 13,907 & 12,908 pounds.
4) Conservatory complete date, from Dec-02 delay to Feb-27, but my garden and floor tiles was broken.
I've been working with your company for the first time, but it was a really bad experience.
Terrible customer service. Replacement window ordered last aug, apparently broken on van in October when due to be installed. Despite numerous emails, they never reply. Happy to take your money, but after sales terrible.
I wouldn’t leave them any stars if possible. They are that bad !! Customer service is totally non existent. The worst double glazing company I have ever had the misfortune to do business with.
We had our front door replaced in 2017 and after three years found the glass panel was filling with water and the door and frame colour (green) was fading. An assessor came out to check and agreed everything should be replaced as under guarantee. Over 18 months on and I'm still waiting! Almost laughable but sadly true.
I have emailed numerous times and eventually got to speak to a manager who said there is a delay with the supplier due to covid and backlog of business. I am now looking to install 5 large windows and will definitely not be asking SEHBAC as they don't seem to honour existing customers.
Very unreliable provider.
Failed unit, agree warranty valid, ongoing since Feb.
Clear from the comments below that there's something wrong with this company.
Took deposit early dec 2020 promised fitting before Christmas and we are still waiting no replies to our telephone calls ... really unhelpful customer service who say will ring back and don’t bother !!!! Refuse to give a refund although not offered any goods !!! DEFINITELY DO NOT USE ALL LiES !!!!

I've had nothing but trouble since ordering and paying for my new front door. From a salesman who didn't know how to use a computer and clearly broke all Data Protection regulations, to dreadful fitting and product services. They couldn't fit the door on the day they said they would as no one had read the job sheet so they sent one fitter instead of two. The second appointment took twice as long as the surveyor hadn't measured properly so the door didn't fit right. After fitting the lock never worked properly and soon the lick jammed so I couldn't get out of my own door. This wasn't their problem they said so three days later they turned up to replace the lick. Six months later the lock jammed again and I had to call a locksmith out. Ten days later I'm still waiting for their customer services to respond to me. Never buy from Seh Bac!
Patio doors and side panel replacement:
A very unsatisfactory process from the start with an equally poor result. The surveyor made an error in his measurements, so when the old wooden doors were removed leaving a 2.5 metre opening, fitters found that it would not fit. So they made it fit by cutting away a section of my kitchen floor. It went down hill from there. on the evening of the installation it rained and the doors leaked water into the kitchen. The threshold board was not fitted or supported properly which caused it to slope and creak, doors would not close properly and the making good to the plaster work around the frame was appalling. SEHBAC sent a fitter on several occasions and David the fitter was very good. But very little can be done to a an installation that was bad from the outset. SEHBAC offered £130 compensation. SEHBAC get 1 star only because I can imagine how good their could be if all their fitters were like David - who didn't do my work.
SEHBAC fitted a new french door to my property a few years ago. At the time of the job it got put off 4 times with loss of holiday days from both myself and my partner. When they did turn up there was just one guy on his own and he was not very happy to be working on a Saturday. After the job was finished there was a couple of snags 1, No hooks on bottom of doors ( this got fixed after 3 weeks but they were different styles to each other. 2, Not sealed up down left and right side of door ( never got fixed). 3, Door doesn't open or close in hot weather ( I was told this was normal...what a load of #@$%. After many phone calls and fobbed off i got another company to see if they could fix it. The response was it can't be sorted due to the doors are already at there max adjustments so basically the door is the wrong size and the only real solution is to replace the whole thing. The other company didn't charge a call out due to not being able to remedy the problem).
Avoid this company at all costs.
We were very transparent about the reason for replacing our existing leaking conservatory and we were assured by your salemen, surveyors and fitters that we wouldn't experience the same problems with a SEHBAC conservatory. Unfortunately since it's installation in March 2017 it has been leaking and after your 18th visit today it still is. We have spent over £34,000.00 and still have a leaking conservatory and no one seems to have the expertise to resolve it. I would never recommend SEHBAC to anyone, I have spent a year ringing, chasing and waiting for fitters and I'm still in the same position I was a year ago. We have never even had an apology.
We ordered a replacement glass roof and patio door for our conservatory from SEHBAC. Was told job would take 7-10 days. NO NO NO, It took 14 weeks and 22 different workers to complete the work. The whole experience was absolutely horrific, bearing in mind we are both in our 70’s, but this made no difference whatsoever.
From the very start when the workers turned up the materials were not on site. Work got delayed, the roof was eventually taken off, but things went very wrong from here on... we had a lot of wet weather and we were bailing out water day and night. The inside conservatory walls were plastered, but this didn’t make any difference to SEHBAC!
The goal posts which were needed to support the roof and large patio doors were not put in level, then cladding on them had to be redone because it was a total mess. Roof supports went on, glass panels eventually put in, although initially one set of workers didn’t put the glass panels in correctly and they had to be redone. Door handles were put on crooked, and another nightmare..new handles took days and weeks to arrive. The box guttering leaked on 3 occasions. The 3rd time we were told it was condensation, but it was discovered that this was not the case, the welding had leaked. When the guttering was rewelded the welder accidentally burnt holes in the new carpet. SEHBAC have refunded the cost of replacement carpet which we awaiting fitting. Our gut feeling.. why oh why did we choose SEHBAC....how we wish we had believed the bad reviews! We have to say, the young girl in the office was never rude to us, and we had two workers who seemed to sort out other sehbac problems, they were kind men and good workers.
Our message is... be very careful...ask friends and neighbours who they have used for their dorms, conservatory s etc.. don’t fall for the glossy magazines!
Stay away. Spend more and go else where.
for £100 pounds I should have gone with Everest.
Door installed and left filthy. Shame as it s a beautiful door. I had the response saying "its clean now" one week later when they came back to check. The door had two scratches on handle and letter box. It also had a scratch on the actual door once it was installed. Three weeks later and still not been fixed. Parts have been ordered but not replaced yet. ( I could have ordered a new door in that time) Staff are rude, fast and so slow to do anything. Big attitude problems when ever i call. I just want everything fixed now. Its not my problem they cant fit a new door in good condition. £1500 not well spent.. Its impossible to get through to someone to solve problems that shouldn't exist in the first place.. They have a team to go and solve issues after installs according to stuff which says it all.. Having said that . nothing is fixed three weeks after.. Very upset, very stressed and not happy.
Spend the extra £100-00 and go elsewhere. If they could uninstall everything now and I could go elsewhere I would.
After spending over 12k on a conservatory over 12 months later the roof is still leaking, ive had two guys out at seperate times to fix it and now waiting for a 3rd, my laminate floor is damaged and they say they will not pay for replacement,
Its raining tonight and ive got 3 bowls on floor,
Dont be fooled by the salesmans chat they want their commission.
I very much regret the day I clapped eyes on SEHBAC and would not recommend them to anyone for anything!!
I had all my windows and back door replaced late summer 2016. The back door is excellent- I have no problems with this and like it very much. My problem is with the windows.
I decided to have triple glazing, to help stop the noise from the road. The noise isn't that different. But what is worse is the construct of the windows, the actual glass panels are very small compared to my last windows. The frame is very thick and at the bottom of each window the frame is doubled. This has been done by them laying a strip of frame down on the sill before constructing the actual window frame above it. When I complained that I had lost several square inches of light in each window because the frames are double thickness at the bottom I was fobbed off by them saying they measure the windows from the outside and they were the correct size.
My once sunny happy little house is now dark and dreary all year round- I cannot express how much this has upset me, and there appears to be nothing I can do about it.
When the salesman came round he actively encouraged me to have extra openings, which I now believe is because the glass is the most expensive part of the installation. I told the salesman at the time that I did not want big frames and that I valued the light in my house. The windows I saw at the showroom did not have this extra strip of frame at the bottom of each. I wish I had never had them done. I am now saving up to have the worst ones replaced individually.
I have attached pictures of the bottom part of the frames, the very worst one is the small toilet window- that 'used to' illuminate the stairs and landing. You can clearly see a lot of extra plastic has been used in order to fit a small window.
We had a quote for a conservatory and porch. We were very happy with the salesperson that visited us. However, our circumstances changed and we cancelled verbally and in writing within the cancellation period. SEHBAC HAVE REFUSED TO RETURN OUR £1000 DEPOSIT.
Terrible aftersales - avoid avoid avoid. SEH BAC didn't fit the windows to the agreed specifications, as the figures agreed with the sales man, on which I made a payment, were overridden by the surveyor who came to visit who didn't ask me to sign his figures off. Consequently, the windows fitted were not to the size I'd requested. I've spent 5 months chasing, with calls not being returned and the aftersales care and general attitude of the staff has been appalling. Additionally, a lock broke on a window shortly after they were installed and 6 months on, still no one's been round to fix it, despite regular chasing.
We chose SEHBAC mainly on the basis of them having the least worst reviews & the promised lead time. Ordered a replacement conservatory on 27th July with a promised installation within 4 weeks. After weeks on constant chasing we finally got an installation date - seven weeks after order.
Installation appeared to progress well until the last when we were told that two windows didn't fit, a window handle was broken, a lump was chipped out of one of the frames & another frame had been manufactured out of square. This required the replacement of one whole side.
Apparently they don't make uPVC units themselves so the whole job was just sub-contracted. This maybe explains some of the delay & poor quality.
It took another 3½ weeks of chasing before this was all rectified. So from order to full completion was 10½ weeks rather than the four promised. Throughout this period I was given the distinct impression that no-one was at all concerned with meeting agreed schedules or making any great effort to resolve problems. Requests for a discount or other form of compensation were immediately rejected without discussion
When I tried to use the roof vent in April I found it was sticking at one point & all the chrome finishing was flaking off the winding mechanism. I reported this as a service request & actually received a fairly prompt reply, advising that the earliest appointment was the 27th - OF JUNE!
Next job is to replace our front door & there's one company I definitely won't be asking to quote...

SEH windows.
If I had to buy windows again I will never go with SEH
First my back door kept letting water in at the bottom seal and then my Karnden floor needed resealing
Then two windows in my front bedroom needed to be replaced as the seal had gone. I also had a window shatterer and they made me pay for a new one.
Now a front door handle has broken and I’ve been told I’ll have to pay for this. I have not had my window more than 7 years.
I went for a more expensive company thinking I would not have these problems and what have I got a company that says I’m covered for 10 years “Except for“ Everything thing else
Make sure you read the small print before signing anything
I had sash windows replaced with double glazed ones. Sales team were quite unprofessional but as company recommended to me went ahead. Fitters were good and quick however they were keen to finish early and rushed the last window. After they had left noticed. they had taken a whole chunk out the inside wall and window didn't work. Someone came next day to fix but catch is still quite stiff. Not sure how well windows are sealed as lets a lot of noise in. Kitchen window good though.
Beautiful windows and doors. Tidy installer, made very little mess in the house. It would have been better if he'd hoovered out the window & door ridge & grooves as these were full of the plastic bits & brick dust from his drilling. One window was faulty & by the time I noticed it, the installer had already ordered a replacement which was fitted very quickly a few days later.
I have marked this DOWN TWO STARS because I don't feel the salesman did a good job. If you're selling windows, sliding doors, back door & front door to an old person, he should have considered how I would be able to use them.
1. The push out top window between the 2 normal openings are so high as to be unuseable - I'd need a ladder to be able to open & shut them.
2. The TOTALLY HORRID HANDLE on the outside of the front door is almost impossible for me to push up when I'm locking or push down when going back and forth with shopping. I did not know, nor was it pointed out to me, the inside handle is different to the outside handle. I would NOT have bought a front door from this company.
But the windows look super!
WARNING! This review may not be genuine.
We have had bac hardwood windows for 20 yrs and previous property before that 5yrs and they still look as good as the day they were installed. I have painted them once with a light coat varnish, wipe them regularly and have withstood the test of time.
I cannot recommend enough, not cheap but worth it..
Thank you.
We had a new front door fitted on the 10th July 2017, the installers Chris and Dave arrived early and got straight to work. they were very efficient and cleaned up well and left no mess, my wife and I are very happy with the end result the product is very good and we would certainly recommend SEHBAC Ltd to friends and family. To Chris and Dave keep up the good work I am sure you will bring more customers to SEHBAC with the way you both work. Regards Derek and Jan
We have used SEHBAC at two properties now and have always found the installers to be very pleasant and tidy on the job.
We recently had a loggia added to our house and we are over the moon with the results, it's really opened up the house and let light into other rooms as well.
Would recommend SEHBAC without hesitation.
I have used SEHBAC for serveral years, we have recently taken the plunge and gone for a single story extension. I'd like to comment how great the installation team were (led by Dave) they were polite and curtious to me and my wife. We will continue to recommend SEHBAC to our neighbours who all have commentated positvely on their work.
Complete replacement of roofline, fascias, sofits, barge boards and guttering. So far as I am able to tell the workmanship was excellent. No complaints so far. The workman were always courteous and punctual. The work was carried out over a broken period of two days due to adverse weather and traffic conditions from October 10-14, 2014. The workmen always kept us informed.
We replaced all the windows and our front and back door in spring 2013. All the employees were courteous and punctual and installed beautiful doors and windows to our entire satisfaction. Some weeks later we had to ask them to adjust the back door after an exceptionally hot spell and this was quickly done. There have been no further problems. We had no hesitation asking SEHBAC to fit new soffit boards and gutters. This installation is due to start mid September 2014.
