The quality of the doors seems very good, and workmanship is also extremely good. The guys who fitted them (Roy and Reece) were really nice and exceptionaly tidy in their job.

Had 16 windows replaced in March 2023, the job was complicated by the fact that some sash windows were being replaced. We were consulted before and during the fitting which resulted in a very professional and high quality job. Their work was very tidy with hardly any damage caused when removing the old windows. Back office support has also been excellent. I would certainly use this company again, highly recommended.

From the first enquiry about a replacement conservatory roof, the team at Halstead Glass have acted in a courteous, professional and considerate manner. Their MD visited us and provided us with clear and detailed options - carefully explaining the benefits of either glass or solid roof options.
We were then provided with a detailed quotation - all without any sales pressure or talk of 'order now' discounts so popular with the high pressure sales people.
Satisfied that Halstead Glass is the thoroughly professional family run business I was led to believe, we were happy to place an order for a solid roof. Once we had placed the order we were provided with detailed images and worksheets along with a planned installation process and date.
On the date agreed, the team arrived at 08.00 to start the work. The installation team were truly impressive - being extremely professional, recognising they were working in someones home and taking us carefully through each step and likely timing.
The work ethic of this father and son team (thanks Peter and Paul!) was a true credit to Halstead Glass - they made this important work painless and stress free. They told us what they were going to do and simply got on with it.
The level of craftsmanship in both the roof components and the installation team's work was very impressive - we are fussy people!
The installation, electrical work and finish plastering (thanks Wayne!) were all carried out by proper time served professionals - and it clearly shows with the quality of work and the end result.

After moving into out house 6 years ago we had Halstead Glass replace all the windows, including 2 sets of French doors, the front and back doors in addition to removing and replacing a large conservatory.
The whole removal of old windows and the installation of the new windows was done very, very professionally. The installation teams were friendly and undertook their work to a very high standsard. At the end of the installation the site was cleaned very carefully, and other than lovely new doors and windows you wouldn't know anyone had been.
Six years on we are still delighted with the work. However just recently we've had an issue with the front door. It had initially been fitted extremely well, but now needed some adjustment as it was beginning to rub when being closed. The Installation Manager, who could not have been more helpful, visited us and determined what he believed was causing the issue, he decided on a proposed solution, explained it to us so we fully understood and organised for an installation team to undertake the work.
The team arrived, on the dot, and followed through on the Installation Manager's solution - and it worked! We now have a brilliant door again.
Several days after the work the Installation Manager rang to see if everything had worked out well - such attention to detail does Halsted Glass great credit.

We decided to go with Halstead Glass after they were recommended. Dylan Moss came round and measured up, he was a very nice young chap. We were pleased with the price for all new windows and front door. We had to wait a while as they were very busy but it was worth the wait. Had them done 2 weeks ago and are really pleased with them. 2 young lads came round called Ethan and Jacob and done a brilliant job. Nothing was to much trouble for them, they took 3 dsys and cleaned up everyday after themselves in fact they were brothers and i have to say Halstead Glass are lucky to have 2 such nice friendly, well mannered, and polite lads that work for them, they are a credit to Halstead Glass. This is a late review as due to other distractions including major health problems I never actually got round to it. However I want to give a review for the conservatory we purchased over four years ago. It has had the chance to ‘settle in’ and confirms the initial satisfaction, that we had not only made the right decision to have a conservatory but had also chosen to our minds a really good installer.. The visit by the sales rep went very well, none of the usual pushiness and checking back with the office so common with these deals today, just firm and fair advice and a price that was reasonable and within our budget.
The survey went well and their site manager came to inspect our house bricks for matching up, and to explain the time scale and procedure for ground work and footings etc.. From day one the organisation and build was beyond first class. While being involved with several building projects in the past I cannot recall an operation so smoothly and efficiently carried out. The whole work area was covered with tarpaulins and thick plywood boards including our driveway.. The man with the mini excavator arrived around seven thirty am, together with the builder and an extra hand who barrowed the spoil out to make a heap on our pre-covered drive way. On completion of the footings and removal of the excavator the men cleaned up ready for the grab lorry that arrived around twelve o’clock. The three men after a final sweep up awaited the cement lorry that arrived at twelve thirty and they barrowed the aggregate to the footings finally levelling off around one fifteen. They then had some refreshment, removed all the coverings and left. The whole operation completed without fuss or bother in just over six hours.
The selected bricks arrived about three days later and the groundwork’s were sorted and the bricks laid carefully matching those of the house.
About a fortnight later and brickwork dried the conservatory arrived and was erected and installed in a couple of days or so, the men stating that the install was assisted by the perfectly level and tidy finish of the walls. A few days later an electrician and mate turned up and made short work of the initial fix, followed by another equally efficient plasterer who laid the floor and plastered the walls in two visits. The final visit was from the electrician for final fix. Apart from a couple of door adjustments at a later date the install was first class.
The build quality of the conservatory is first class with high quality fittings and superb mouldings and has added considerably to the style and value of our home.
All of the people involved in the installation were real tradesmen and the end result bears this out.
Four years later and it still looks brand new and no faults or problems of any kind.
We contacted Halstead Glass to replace a window with a door so required brickwork and plastering. The sales agent was fantastic, no pressure. They arrived on the day, prepared, great team of fitters, professional, pride in their work. They did a fantastic job. We were so impressed we got them back for another quote for some other windows which they are doing on 16. We have also arranged for the final replacement of our bay window to be done in May. We couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Great local company, fantastic service from office staff, sales and fitters and good products.

We are at the point that the main build for a large orangery has been constructed and the doors, windows and lantern are just about to be fitted. Plenty of work yet to be done. Cliff the project manager has kept on top of each work aspect and kept us well informed. Everyone turns up to work on time, just as we were advised. We chose a Guardian warm roof to enable us to use conservatory much more and Wayne who plastered this did an amazing job.
The conservatory itself is excellent. It fitted exactly, obviously due the the precise measurements taken at the beginning of the work by other members of the staff and it is not a straightforward shape. We have noticed the improvement in temperature and noise levels from traffic already.

One of panes of glass was cracked on delivery and front door was delivered without the door knocker i paid for. We have recently had a conservatory installation by Halstead Glass. We must say from start to completion George and his team were very professional and made us feel at ease and not pressurised. They took down the existing conservatory and replace it with a new one, although the foot print was the same the actual windows and roof had changed. It was an all round fantastic and professional job, we had a few issues at first but these were sorted very efficiently and without any fuss and no time wasted. We also had a tiled roof added and a gable end fitted and it looks stunning.
Ben, Jack and Chris were without doubt extremely good at their jobs, apart from fitting the conservatory they were extremely polite very tidy and above all hard working. This job was done during an extremely hot spell of weather and I can honestly say they did not stop working. well done boys an excellent job. the plaster who followed them in to complete the ceiling was also a very good worker and that too is a really professional finish.

The installation was ok. We raised at installation that there is a severe wonky cut on the window that is immediately visible which is extremely disappointing when the aesthetics is one of the main factors of the sliding (Sash) window.

Halstead Glass have just made our old entrance to the bungalow into a porch by filling in the two sides. This is now a usable area for storing coats and shoes etc. They completed a new conservatory for us last year that included a new bathroom. We cannot recommend them highly enough and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who asks. Their work and workmen are top notch.

Now that the dust has settled we feel we must write a comment about our new conservatory. From the start we were impressed with the professionalism of the company . this from the initial quotation which did not come with "if you sign up now you get x amount off" or "let me ring my manager to see if I can get more off" Then there was the clear programme of when each stage of the build would take place( all of which were met). Finally the finish and attention to detail were superb. As for the Guardian warm roofing system we cannot praise it enough it really does live up to its advert. Just to say a big Thank You! We had our old, inefficient polycarbonate conservatory roof replaced with a Guardian Warm Roof earlier this summer by a really efficient team from Halstead Glass. At the same time we had our original patio doors replaced with aluminium bi-folds. What a transformation! This project has delivered everything we were promised and was carried out on schedule and with efficiency. I cannot recommend this company highly enough - from George who visited initially to advise and give us a quotation, through fitters who worked tidily and took pride in other tradesmen work as well as their own, to customer services who quickly resolved one tiny issue on the closing mechanism on the locking door. Our previously overheated conservatory which was full of glare at this time of the year has been turned into a really comfortable garden room with improved access from our lounge and I am confident that we shall be using it all through the winter. We have just received the building regulations and electrical safety certificate - thank you again. We have already proven these products definitely deliver quality and Halstead Glass can be relied upon for a really efficient job.
Just had all windows and doors replaced by very efficient and professional fitters, Rory and Steve. They were exceptionally tidy, there was no mess anywhere to clear up after they had finished. Everything looks great. Slight hitch with the glass for the porch doors, but it was all cleared up very quicky and fitted a few days later. The project was the full replacement of 9 windows and 1 door, 5 windows are white internally and a colour externally, the door is a composite cottage design. All of which are of good quality and we are extremely pleased with the choice of Halstead Glass and the result. So much so that this company will be carrying out the replacement of another two doors installed recently through a home insurance selected company.
The installation team are a credit to the business and it was a pleasure to have them carryout work in my home, punctual, polite, tidy and professional throughout.
