All installers were very hard working, including conservatory specialists, electrician and plasterer, and worked some very late shifts during very hot conditions. Cam and John from Windows Plus Roofs were very pleasant and couldn't do enough to help. All could have been much better in cleaning up each day eg, a considerable amount of shattered glass was left in a roof galley and we had to sweep up each day. The plasterer did a good job of sweeping up after completion. Working a late shift on the finish day lead to an error, gable end is 20mm out of plum. Warm roof system there is a possible design fault, the reinforcing steels would be better fitted into the timber for a tight fit and no gaps and no retro fitting. The polystyrene melted under glass during the hot weather and was replaced with kingspan - we would like to know how the energy efficiency has been affected. Some training would have been beneficial eg, how to install windows/glass strip system. We know that the finance was activated 2nd July, before our sign off and practical completion.
