Beautiful Anteak coloured doors really show off this traditional wooden room
This project required doors which would be in keeping with the wooden structure surrounding them. These Anteak frames were a perfect match and when combined with the low maintenance and practicality of modern UPVC windows and the energy efficiency involved- this room will be a delight for years to come.

Commercial Aluminium installed in Leamington Spa
When a world leading engineering company based in Royal Leamington Spa needed some extra space Rugby Double Glazing was called in to supply and install commercial grade aluminium windows. To match the rest of the existing windows they were powder coated in the same colour to be unobtrusive as possible. When choosing windows for an office environment it is important to consider the comfort of workers who need to be kept at a constant and reasonable temperature so the highest specification combination of frame and glass was chosen and a grey anti sun tint to reduce glare

Willoughby Farmhouse
This is a newly built farmhouse in the villlage of Willoughby near Rugby. The windows needed to be 'in keeping' with the traditional farmhouse style of the house, whilst maintaining modern standards of security, high thermal efficiency and being low maintenance. The clients wanted the highest rated energy efficient double glazed windows in a very complimentary light oak/cherrywood finish; both inside and out, to preserve the authenticity of the farmhouse feel. We used a cutting edge, highly energy efficient 'Trufit' warm edge tape between the window frame and the reveal to ensure that thermal efficiency and energy rating performance was maintained. The house not only looks beautiful but will keep the homeowners warm and safe for years to come.

This project is now finished and looks stunning. The warm roof is perfectly in keeping with the property and will ensure the room is a fully functional, year round space deisgned to ensure comfort no matter the weather; without the old issues of too hot in summer and too cold in winter that are so inevitable with traditional glass or polycarbonate roof conservatories. The windows are a lovely clotted cream colour providing a soft palette that lends itself to the style of the rest of the house and are 'A' rated and extremely thermally efficient. All in all this property now boasts a wonderful stylish, modern space for year round comfort and a fantastic addition to this home both inside and out.

Orangery - A beautiful addition to any home
This gorgeous orangery was added to this home and not only opens up the interior of the house, but helps to bring the outside in. It is both, perfectly in keeping with this property and a worthy addition. The colour is a terrific match and the lantern roof allows a beautiful amount of light into the room. This family will hopefully gain immense pleasure from this room this summer.

Windows for local charity - HOPE4
A very worthy, local charity 'Hope 4', which takes care of vulnerable, homeless people in our community with food and shelter, especially during the coldest months of the year; was in need of some new windows. Our manufacturer, Modplan, donated the frames and we fitted the windows for free, as our contribution to a cause within our community that is, sadly, so needed and relied upon by those less fortunate than most. It's important to us as a small business, that we do our bit within our community and where we can. Hopefully, these new windows will make a difference to the building and the comfort of those within it.

Hello New Garden Room!
Our customer wanted to modernise his conservatory and needed to make the most of the space. By changing the roof, we were able to acheive comfortable, year round use of the conservatory; without it ever being too hot, too cold, or too bright. This type of alteration makes a conservatory look much more 'permanent' and 'in keeping' with the property. A great alternative to building an extension it's less expensive and arguably affords you the same type of space without the hassle of all the building work. As it's quick to install too a renovated conservatory can be a great choice for anyone.

A face lift for your home.
There are no two ways about it; a new door is undoubtedly an expedient and hugely effective way of updating your home. Whether you wish to modernise or create a traditional feel to your home, a new door can make all the difference. There are a vast array of options available to anyone looking for a new door. At the moment coloured doors are the most popular and instantly freshen and add curb appeal, whilst defining your home's character and perhaps even hinting at the style within. From chartwell green and the ever popular welcoming red to vintage blues or vibrant yellows or purples - all are incresingly popular and afford every home a little individuality and style. Doors can complement or contrast with window colours and personalisation is complete with your choice of door furniture and accessories - shiny or brushed chrome, gold, white or black handles, letterboxes, spy holes, knockers the options and combinations are yours for the choosing. Of course one of the main requirements for a good door is that it keeps every one safe within and the elements and unwelcome 'guests' out. Doors need to offer up to date security and excellent locking mechanisms suitable for your lifestyle. Slam locks, digital key pads or thumb turn handles offer variety and peace of mind to every customer.

Burglar Proof your home!
We had a client a little while ago who had some new windows. Nothing unusual about that of course but, recently, he had an attempted break in and luckily for him the burglars were unable to gain access. The reason? His lovely, new, Veka profile windows prevented the determined, potential intruder from gaining access! The windows were so strong, and successful at keeping the burglar out that the Scene of Crime Officer commented his disbelief at their strength and durability! Now that really is a worthy endorsement. Here are some photos of the damaged windows, which despite the damage done still managed to keep our clients property secure.

A conservatory reborn ... Update
Earlier in the year we showcased the rebirth of a conservatory with an old poly carbonate roof and dated design transforming into a modern, comfortable garden room. Residence 9 Orangery
We recently undertook the installation of a beautiful orangery, on a rural cottage in a village close to Rugby. In order to maintain the character of the property and to keep the garden aesthetically pleasing , the customer opted for a Residence 9 profile. This is quite traditional in appearance and provides stunning windows, orangeries or conservatories which really are quite different to other windows available on the market. In this case the customer opted for a warm, homely, clotted cream colour, which also lends itself to maintaining character and the 'cottagey' feel. A conservatory reborn
An old, tired conservatory, complete with polycarbonate roof and traditional opening top windows has been brought fully up to date with a brand new warm roof and large, modern windows. These renovations have given the owners and the property a new lease of life, as the room is a much more functional, practical and attractive space. The warm roof will allow the room to be comfortable whatever the weather, the windows afford uninterrupted views from within: the whole room becomes a wonderful extension to the home, rather than a conservatory used occasionally. The feeling from inside is peaceful and comfortable and quiet. The perfect setting from which to view the summer flowers, the autumn storms and the winter snow. It looks pretty good from the outside too!

Recently built garden room with a dramatic gable front and a Leka warm roof
Our client in Rugby commissioned Rugby Double Glazing to build a modern 'Garden room extension'. Having had a conservatory previously he was keen to enjoy the beautiful view looking over his garden and the fields beyond it but with the benefit of not cooking in the summer or freezing in the winter. The latest 'Leka warm' roof was chosen with a realistic tile effect and over 130mm of cellotex insulation. Not only does this keep out the heat of the sun but it also keeps the room warm during cold winter days. A gable front was chosen to give it a dramatic look and full height French doors and side panels complete the open aspect at the front.

Smart black and white and low future maintenance
This was a lovely project we did recently for a returning customer. He opted for white, triple glazed windows, new doors and to replace his existing cladding with a black, low maintenance, UPVC option. The result as you can see is a clean, simple, modern upgrade that is completely in keeping with the original design, but which will maintain it's charm for years to come due to the use of modern materials and the 'future proofing' aspects of triple glazing. Re-building a worn out timber bay
Our client in Long Buckby Northamptonshire has a beautiful house in a quiet location just off this Northamptonshire Village main street. Over the years we have supplied and installed a number of energy efficient UPVC windows at their home and even re-built a conservatory for our client's Mum when she moved into the Village three years ago. These bay windows have always been an issue; the original timber was rotten, the stone work and cills in really bad condition and a previous owner had the tiled roof concreted over to keep out the rain. We used used our very talented bricklayer to re-build the walls using the original stone and we fitted a new stone cill. Veka A rated fully sculptured windows were fitted and a new roof built. Lead is used to give lasting weather proof seals and at the hips are formed in the traditional manner over 'mop handles' bringing back the character features. There are two bays and the first one is now finished, doesn't it look beautiful, old fashioned charm with modern energy efficient materials?

These are the first steps in building the roof of this beautiful Garden room for our client in Rugby. Galvanized structural steel roof spars and ridge make for a solid warm roof. This particular fully insulated roof is the Ultraframe's Livin Roof style. Designed to offer the best of both worlds keeping the room fully insulated but with glazed panels to allow plenty of light. It has a sleek mat finish to the outer panels and will include 100mm of cellotex insulation, reinforced and insulated panels and insulated plaster board finish. The stages of choosing and installing a composite door
Our client who lives in Bilton, Rugby needed a new door to replace a timber one that had quite frankly seen better days. Some time ago a porch had been built onto the house as the original door did not offer any real protection against the winter cold and wind, its locks were sufficient for houses of that period but offered no protection against a modern determined criminal. The final straw came when the leaded light glass was broken, unfortunately it is not possible to replace the heraldic shield style so a door style was chosen that allows plenty of light and has a very attractive coloured lead pattern in the glass, the sand blasted effect gives total privacy and the highest level of security is a given. The final and most important design feature was to keep intact the leaded arch above the door. Our client is delighted and we are very proud of Gary our fitter who completed it so beautifully.

No need to follow the crowd when choosing your new composite door
Our clients bought this brand new house in Cawston Rugby early last year, the very first thing they asked to create for them was a brand new conservatory. They then noticed that all the doors on the estate looked the same, same colour, same shape and same glass pattern. Here at Rugby Double Glazing we think everybody is unique and our homes should reflect our individuality and so we spent time drawing up designs and offering ideas and this is the one that was finally chosen. If you want a good looking and highly secure composite door but don't want it to look like everybody else in the street, give us a call. The Benn Partnership Centre Railway Terrace Rugby gets new windows
The Benn Partnership Centre plays a vital part in the community of Rugby. Providing classes and activities for people of all ages to learn cookery, keeping fit, computer skills and English language. The building stands on the site of the old Police station on the corner of Craven Road and Railway Terrace and provides a venue for many community groups. The first and upper floors are used by the YMCA. When the centre was built approximately 12 years ago they used soft wood single glazed windows and over the years the timber deteriorated badly and was expensive to maintain and keep looking fresh. The decision was made to replace the cold draughty timber windows with modern Veka fully sculptured white UPVC ones, Modern high tech double glazed sealed units are designed to reduce the heat loss through the glass, tight seals around the openers keep out any draughts, high security shoot bolts on the openers keep intruders out and high gloss Veka UPVC shrugs off the dust and dirt with a quick wash. Extend your home with a beautiful Orangery
Adding an extra room to your home is a wise choice if you need extra space but don't want to move. Previously building a conservatory was the easiest and most cost effective method of giving you this extra space, they were often poorly built using the cheapest material people could find. The alternative was to build an extension and that meant going through the time and expense of your Local Council Planning Department. Both options had there limitations and draw backs, poorly built conservatories soon looked tired and were difficult to heat with poly-carbonate roofing and standard glass in the frames and doors. Brick built extensions were expensive, time consuming and were just a part of the house. Conservatories normally ended up as expensive store rooms and extensions were just that. With careful planning the choice now is staggering, for example look at this modern take on a traditional Orangery design. Energy efficient A rated double glazed frames and doors, insulated internal soffits and high tech. self cleaning and solar controlled glass make these garden rooms beautiful and energy efficient. A new garden room extension adds a whole new dimension to your home, our client in Claybrooke Magna, Leicestershire was enthusing about being able to enjoy eating breakfast in a warm light airy room before work, watching planes leaving vapour trails across the sky during the day and watching the moon sweep across the sky at night. Different LED lighting combinations allow the room to be as bright or cosy and romantic as required. Start planning your Orangery now and speak to Rugby Double Glazing if you want want the best.

Vertically sliding windows for a traditional styled terraced house
These sought after town houses in Leamington Spa have a unique style. Built as cottages for workers around the turn of the last century they are popular for first time buyers and people wanting a stylish traditional property. The original vertically sliding timber windows play such an important part of the look and appeal of the house but sadly single glazed timber windows are cold and can be very draughty. Changing the windows for modern A rated UPVC makes a huge difference to the warmth of the house but it needs a careful approach so as not to spoil the proportions of the house. Our client is delighted with the results.

Celtic cross pattern
Here our client wanted something a little different in their window. A large picture window can look 'plain' so we added leaded tramlines and a Celtic cross pattern to give it that classic look. The large picture window allows lots of light into the kitchen and an unspoilt view of the garden and when the sun shines through it shows off the pattern and the bevelled diamond to best effect. New front door
Here are the before and after photo's of a front door transformation. The existing door and side panel was single glazed and draughty, typically with a timber door it had warped and twisted over the years and had been sanded down and bits shaved off to get it to work, but as a consequence it couldn't keep out the cold or draughts. The top lights had been boarded up so the hall was dark and dingy. Composite doors are warmer and close fitting, they wont warp or twist so the seals will keep out the cold draughts for years to come. There's no need to compromise on style either here we have a classic two panel glazed door in black and matching white side panels. Keeping out the cold and uninvited intruders has never been easier.

New Conservatory
This lovely room feels like an integral part of the house and home, not a new addition. There is exceptional light provided by the roof and large windows, but this is balanced with privacy walls and pillars making it feel like an actual room rather the traditional all glass conservatory. A fantastically modern use of space, an extra reception room and a truly comforting environment in which to spend time.

Garden room extension
Our clients in Rugby purchased a new home in the popular area of Cawston, but it came without a conservatory. Having just retired their plan was to have a low maintenance home and garden and build a garden room from which they can relax and enjoy a long and happy retirement. Having been recommended to us from a friend we were able to spend time together and design a perfect space for them whilst the house was being completed. Building a high wall at one side gives privacy from their neighbours and allows a television to be hung. Matching full height brick pillars at the corners gives the whole room a solid feel and patio sliding doors allow furniture to be sited close inside and outside without losing space.

Back door transformation
No good doing the front without the back. Complete with cat flap, but a massive improvement in looks, energy efficiency

Cheapest NOT the best
This is a window one of our eagle eyed fitters spotted whilst out and about. You can see the row of dodgy bricks beneath it, the massive amount of plastic and how the person who has fitted it has done so with cement and not silicon. Not a good way to fit a window and not what our company would accept for our customers.

Front door transformation
This is quite a transformation I think you'll agree. The door on the left is the old, tired, care worn door in high need of a makeover. The door on the right is the new, energy efficient, secure door that sets the tone for the whole house.

Stained glass
There really are no limits to the designs we can offer. Your home should reflect your tastes and style and if that means reflecting period or modern features in your windows then your imagination should know no bounds. Style does not need to be compromised and neither does energy efficiency- double or triple glazing should ensure your home is warm cosy and delightful to look at.

Thorougly modern view...
Making the most of the space available to you is easy when you install bi folding doors. Bi folds are a very modern alternative to patio and french doors taking up less space than the latter but with slightly more style than the former. They work especially well when opening onto a beautiful garden or patio area and are a popular choice. These show a very stylish window design above too. A rated and secure with energy efficient glass a contemporary touch for your home.

Diamonds are a girl's best friend
Check out the red diamonds on the glass panels of this new front door. They set off the red composite door beautifully and add to the modern satinova obscure glass behind. They lend both a modern and traditional feel to the entrance, whilst the security offered by such a modern door and the energy savings are entirely modern.

Dramatic red entrance door
How about a red composite door to make a bold statement? Our customer in Rugby chose this beautiful red composite door with matching red diamond pattern in the glass. Satinova obscure glass was used which is a modern take on the sand blasted or acid etched glass of yesterday. The benefit is an opaque pattern that gives complete privacy whilst allowing light into the hall. With long dark cold nights ahead of us, now is the time to get a secure front door that also keeps out the draughts

Replacing a conservatory
When your conservatory becomes tired, the sealed units break down and the locks and hinges are not working then it might be time to consider a full replacement. For our clients in Solihull the conservatory became a cold storage room, the original roofing was thin and inefficient, the whole roof leaked and it had become an eyesore. Using the original base and brickwork we were able to completely transform it into an elegant and far more heat efficient room. In the picture you can see Stacey cleaning and tidying up after completing the job.

Garden room with tiled warm roof in Crick, Northamptonshire
Our clients bought this beautiful new home in Crick and wanted somewhere for them to sit and relax in for 12 months of the year. The fully insulated warm roof fitted the bill perfectly. It has an 'eco' tile designed to match a standard roof tile and a full seven inches of high density insulation to keep the room warm. The internal surface is finished in plaster board and skimmed so that the room has that lovely spacious feel. An underfloor heating system was installed and linked to the main boiler for an extra cosy feel in the winter months. If you need extra space to entertain your friends and family in or just a lovely space to relax in, this could well be the perfect solution.

A modern twist on a Garden Room built in Lutterworth Leicestershire.
Our client has recently moved into a newly built William Davis home in Lutterworth. We were instructed to build a conservatory that fits neatly into the garden. The design brief included an internal soffit for a number of LED down lights and sliding patio doors that allow wide access that do not take up space inside or outside the room. At this stage we have just completed the plastering.

Rosewood conservatory in Clifton on Dunsmore
Our clients who have retired and wanted a room in which they can sit and enjoy viewing the wildlife and birds that visit their garden. We built it across the full width of the garden so that there is plenty of room for when friends and family drop in. The roof is glazed with solar controlled and self cleaning double glazed sealed units, the frames and doors are 'A' rated to make it as energy efficient as possible. Veka fully sculptured Rosewood profile was used as this gives, in our opinion, the best looking windows on the market today.

October 2017
From the moment Dave Hennesey (the salesman) stepped into the house I had the confidence that Rugby Double Glazing would do a good job. They were accommodating around other building work I am having done. The installers gave me an overview of what they would do and worked efficiently, tidily and with very little disruption. The quality of the install and the product is fantastic.
