I don't like to leave negative reviews without good reason however I feel that potential customers for this company should be made aware of my dreadful experience with Kingsbridge Local Ltd.
I had new windows fitted in November 2016 but had nothing but problems from placing the order all the way through to final installation.
First of all the positive which was salesman Mark Cross who was an excellent salesman, very knowledgeable & happy to answer any questions. Because of this I placed my order in good faith that the company was the right one to use. It was confirmed I could have a one day installation to coincide with work commitments.
Things went wrong shortly after when I didn't receive any correspondence regarding a survey being booked after waiting 2 weeks. I phoned Kingsbridge to be told that my order hadn't been processed by their team for some reason & that it would be done the following day. I was told I would receive a call from the surveyor in a few days. This call never came so again I had to chase them. I then received confirmation that the installation would be carried out on 14th November in 1 day.
The installation team turned up on the day & immediately told me that this was a 2 day installation as one of the team had to finish a job elsewhere however when I phoned Kingsbridge to ask why I was not informed earlier that the 1 day install was not achievable I was told by Justin Kennedy that the installer was off sick & they didn't know until that morning (someone was clearly lying) I was then told the installation would be completed the following day even though they knew I couldn't take time off work.
The following morning at 7am the fitters turned up to finish the job so I let them in & went to work where I would receive a phone call to tell me that the job was done. Upon arriving back at the house I was told that one of the windows had been delivered broken & another had been broken when it was being fitted so would need to be replaced. I was then informed another 2 windows needed to be replaced as there had been a mix up & they had not ordered the required toughened glass.
I then found that the fitters had walked mud throughout the entire floor, through the bedrooms, living room, hallway....everywhere. Unacceptable!
I phoned up Ian the installations manager who agreed that walking mud through the house was unacceptable. He agreed to get my damaged windows & incorrectly ordered units replaced at 7am the following week as it was a 30 min job & that way I didn't need to take time off work.
7am on the following Tuesday came & went with no sign of the fitter so I went to work after waiting an hour. I received a call at 9:30am from the fitter which was too late for me to get them replaced meaning he had to do it at 7am the following morning meaning I had to take more time off work to accommodate their incompetence.
All I got from the chairman Darran Potts was a discount of £100 as this was cover costs of getting the carpets professionally cleaned. This was nothing short of an insult considering the amount of money I had spent with them. Darran clearly seems to not care about the amount of time I had to take unpaid from work due to his employees incompetence or that the customer service was unacceptable. I asked for him to call me to find a solution to the issue & even wrote to him directly but never received a response. Clearly this company does not value its customers & certainly does not live up to the slogan "First class installation & outstanding service"
If I had known I would face so many issues I'd have cancelled my order & gone with a more reputable company.
If it was only 1 or 2 things that had gone wrong I wouldn't have left a negative review as I fully understand that sometimes things do go wrong however to have so many things go wrong shows a lack of professionalism as well as a lack of customer service.
It seems as though this company is great if your installation goes without a hitch however they only offer lip service when things go wrong without offering a meaningful solution. Beware!
