About Yorkshire Windows

Sorry there are no posts yet.
November 2018
DO NOT USE! Bunch of useless time wasters. They installed bi-folding doors on our new build. The doors never hung correctly and 18 months later the door handle fell off. It took them 5 days to send out a specialist engineer. Appalling customer service. Rude and incapable. Go anywhere else.

They installed 5 windows in November 2015. The windows themselves are good - made by Bison (http://www.bisonframes.co.uk/), but Yorkshire Windows missed out a few components specified on the contract and the installation itself has left one window sill damaged and light leaking out from below the sill of a few of them. Over three months, and many e-mails later I'm still waiting for this to be sorted, the next stage will be legal action. I'll update this review should there be a change to this situation. I'm left thinking that the 10 year guarantee they offer can have very little value. If you do buy from them, suggest (i) you don't pay them anything unless the contract is fulfilled completely and (ii) get some legal insurance in the event of future problems.

New roof fitted to conservatory. Leaks. Made several appointments no one came. Just lies from either customer service or manager. Been leaking for 5 weeks. Caused damage (wetness) to furniture. Customer is 82 years old and terminally ill. Still no help given. Involving trading standards as of today. Would have put no stars if I were able. A customer is just that, regardless of age or gender. Paid in full. Now no actual guarantee paperwork either forthcoming or in practice.

Had a upvc conservatory with glass roof fitted a year and a half ago. Looked amazing, after 4 days I had water running from the roof. This has been an on going problem ever since. I would not class the workmanship as good in fact I would rate it as very poor. Customer service is terrible. Trading standards involved as trying to get repairs done is lengthy and costly. I therefore would not recommend this company.

February 2014
Yorkshire windows replaced all my windows and doors in January 2013. The sales man who talked for 3 hours assured us that if there were any problems it would be sorted,. Every window was scratched. Handles were damaged. One of the doors were chipped (which they just filled only cost me £800). And you could see daylight at the bottom of the door. They eventually did all the repairs but not satisfactory. I just gave up in the end and decided to live with it. If you do use Yorkshire windows, before you hand over the cash, check all the windows and doors for scratches. And that none of the window frames are cracked. They do have a rule that you must be able to see scratches from a distance and not in sunlight ,unfortunately on all mine you could. It cost me £7,000 I was robbed!
