The finish on the render was good, However
They did not protect the windows, patio and flat roof properly and have have left my property looking a mess. They said they would come back but did not.
They have left it un finished under the windows.
Render on window frames
Flat roof badly stained with render which will not come off.
Driveway cobble stones badly stained with render all over the front drive
Gutters were not cleaned out and left full of debris render.
I have tried jet washing and cleaning everywhere but it wont come off
I engaged Rendercraft to render the large side wall of my Victorian Property in 2015. I attach photographs to illustrate how quite soon after the completion of the work it became apparent that the work has was not fit for purpose.
I have tried to resolve the matter however Rendercraft have failed to respond and when they finally did reply the declined liability as the Rendercraft I contracted had been liquidated along with their responsibility to me a customer.
It will be up to the individual to decide if they wish to use Rendercraft , but I feel as some one who has to date incurred costs of £4000 , and faced with the eventual removal of their product. I should inform potential customers of my plight
I have proof of purchase but can't see how I can include it /Attach it please contact to authenticate /attach
Sorry but would not recommend Rendercraft at all. Hired them to render over pebbledash on the front of our house in “off white” coloured render. They applied a sand & cement yellow coloured render which I was told “would lighten to white”. Never did. Wasn’t happy so told them not to return to finish painting the window sills which is all that was left of the job.
Was left with an untreated, non weatherproof render (didn’t know this at the time, had to find out myself) with hairline cracks after just one week.
Paul’s attitude towards my concerns was dismissive & had no intention to look to rectify the issue with me.
I’ve since had to have someone come & repair the cracks & paint the house to finish the job properly.
To add to that they were extremely untidy, left my newly installed windows a mess, my composite door with s&c in the grain, s&c clogging up the guttering on my porch & my own hose nozel broken.
Paul at Rendercraft offered me a competitive price for an external rendering job, upon which I instructed him to undertake the work. The boys turned up, did their work but couldn't finish it due to a delay in the window installation. All a regrettable but very common occurrence in construction projects, and presumably not the first time they have had to work around other trade programmes. I said I would hold back a portion of the payment to ensure they came back to finish the job but Paul was very persuasive, convincing me that they worked in the local area a lot and wouldn't have any problems popping back to finish up when the windows were in. Delays like this are inevitable on big projects and we were all seemingly working together to a solution. The boys left site an utter tip, littering my lawn with their mess, taking absolutely no care to clean up after them. Setting this aside, and thinking they may pick up some of their materials when they returned, I have now been locked in a 3 week circle of slow responses, no callbacks, ignored messages and a complete lack of after care. The cream on the cake is when I did finally speak to Paul, he did offer somebody to come back to site and finish up but proceeded to ask me for more money, citing the distance they had to travel as justification. Rendercraft had already had full payment and should have set aside money to pay their staff to re-visit the property as promised. They also convinced me that travel wasn't a problem, which it obviously is. As a result of Rendercraft's utter disregard for an agreement, a promise and any client care, I have incurred significant delay costs and lost members of my project team to other jobs. I do not wish anyone else to suffer the stress I have so my advice, firmly, is do not sue this company. Their word is worth nothing.
Rendercraft was asked to replace existing render to my property in January 2017. They turned up days late, took twice as long as they said it would take and damaged garden furniture. Within 2 Months the new Render to the rear of my property had begun to peel off. When informed of this Rendercraft took 2 Months to come and look at the problem, and then a further 4 months to actually do anything about it. Rendercraft removed the render and then left the property exposed with no render for an additional 3 months. They eventually came to finish the job in January 2018, and again failed to finish. Now it is June, well over a year since the problem was discovered and they are now refusing to finish the job. Please do not use this company, they are terrible and will say anything to get you off the phone.

In 2015 I engaged Rendercraft based in Wickford Essex to apply coloured render to the side wall of my 146 year old property, which was completed in March 2015 . The first day of heavy rain saw the treated wall display a honey combed effect as seen in the attached photographs . Since 18/04/2015 I have made telephone calls, and emails to the company to no avail.
In October 2016 a surveyors report identified the following :
Numerous cracks to window jambs and openings.
Poor drip details around openings
Numerous hairline cracking.
Water ingress behind the render potentially due to cracks and workmanship, vertical mastic sealant joint being applied post works and or ingress due to horizontal capping detail at the head of the gable wall.
I forwarded this report to Rendercraft by email and recorded delivery. The letter was returned 'not known at this address'
All photographs and correspondence has been forwarded to Rendercraft electronically . Again no response was received , and no attempt made to honour the guarantee mentioned in their leaflet .
I cannot therefore recommend this company and urge caution to any one contemplating using Rendercraft
Not impressed, think very carefully before you use this company, yes my house was rendered, but I have a hole in my back wall where they rendered round the scaffold pole, my house was used as a scaffold hotel for 2 weeks after the job was finished and don't even bother asking for a receipt because once paid you just get ignored.
He might be a very good plasterer, I cannot say. He was booked for the 31st august and repeatedly told me not before. This is was t
o insulate and render external wall of the house and extension. In none of the conversations did he mentioned it would be done by somebody else. Out of the blue he told me somebody would come down to measure, though he did this before. Lets call that other person 'the unknown'. The unknown was supposed to visit between 5 and 6 on a thursday, I waited and waited but he did not come so I called the renderer who told me may be better if the day after, I accepted as I thought the unknown would call me.
I went shopping early in the morning, then back called the renderer to find out when the unknown would be visiting.
To my surprise he told me he did, so, person unknown, crossed my front garden, opened 2 doors that go to the side then at the back to wonder at the back of the property. And when I tell the renderer I am not happy about this, instead of apologising he shouts at me.
You do not send somebody the owner does not know onto the property of this elderly person wondering about without her knowledge, really you do not.
That is simply terrible and I had to inform the police as I am 72 years old.
Firstly I would like to say that I have never posted a review for any tradesman I have used. However I am so disappointed with my dealings with Rendercraft that I feel compelled to warn other people. We had our house rendered, at considerable expense, a few months ago. From the outset the owner was unreliable and didn’t deliver samples and colour cards when promised. The actual rendering was generally of a good standard but when we picked up on any problem areas the owner was very difficult to get hold of and very unreliable. In fact he still owes us money for damage caused to our property whilst carrying out the work. If you want a stress free renovation do not use this company.
Although the rendering was finished well, apart from some remedial work needed afterwards to guttering and windowsill sealant (which we had to undertake ourselves), communication from the company was poor, particularly regarding timing of their arrival and the final cost/expected method of payment.
Paul's team arrived on time and worked very hard. This was in January, when the weather was cold and there was a threat of rain. They were polite and were happy to answer some of the questions I had as well as undertake the requirement to remove much of the old render.
I was a little disappointed at some of the mess that was left behind, but someone from the team came back to jet wash the majority of the dirt away the very next day.
The rendered finish was OK but I was expecting a more uniform finish and there are two distinct portions (one larger than the other) of the render which still look discoloured even after baking in many days of sunshine during this summer. This discolouration or irregularity cannot be due to anything else aside from an uneven mix. I've been told/assured that there is nothing wrong with it and it must be something else, but I would prefer it if the problem could be remedied by a re-coat in the affected areas.
I would be more than happy to revisit my review once I'm 100% happy. A follow up and/or visit would be appreciated.
Paul was very polite and quote was done promptly. The first thing which I was a little frustrated with was they postponed the start date at very short notice. The next day by the time workers turned up I had to go to work. Luckily I worked locally. My quote was based on the number of days it would take to do and scaffolding being required. Three young men did the work with ladders. One person was off sick one day and having started about 8.30am they were gone by 4pm but they finished in 2.5days. I was concerned by the standard of the work and called Paul to come and review the job with. In the meantime his son collected the money in cash. Paul promised he would. Until now 5 months later he's not turned up. He's told me that his son would come round a few weeks ago to put sealant on still no one has shown up. I've sent numerous texts and called Paul and his son so many times I've lost track. Finally his son said he'd be here on 10 October he didn't show up I waited all day he didn't call to say he wouldn't be here. I'm so upset about all this I wish I hadn't paid all the money before Paul had come round. Every time it rains my drive turns white. The drain pipe on one side was never put back in place, my landline wire was cut and I wasn't getting my calls as the phone wasn't ringing. All I wanted was for the owner of the business Paul to come and take a look and discuss with me what's to be or could be done. I really regret using this company. It's got 10 year guarantee but it's practically useless if I can't speak to the company. They've given me at 5 different mobile numbers so now I don't know which number belongs to whom. Paul shame on you. I've had the worse after sales treatment ever!!!!
We had the side and back half (extension) rendered this week. There was not any pressure selling. The three people who carried arrived punctually and were polite and professional. They kept the work area as covered as much as was possible and tidied up after themselves, the finish is excellent and they worked very very hard and almost completed in two days while the weather is still fine: just pipes and brackets to go up tomorrow.
Had my entire house done back in 2007, the render still looks like new, no cracks, no discolouration. Recently had to approach Rendercraft for a patch repair, they were very helpful and great advice given.
Would highly recommend.
Had our house rendered about 15 years ago with Rendercraft and recently used them again to bring it up to date
Paul and his team have done a good job on my house at a reasonable price ,I would recommend Rendercraft for external rendering.
Very pleased with the work and the price of the new wall we had rendered by Rendercraft
to match the house render and colour. Would recommend.
Rendercraft rendered my house in grey acrylic render and it has totally changed the appearance of my house. The quality of work is excellent and the tradesman are professional, friendly and tidy. I could not fault their work and they were reasonably priced. Would highly recommend Rendercraft.
HAVING HAD 3 QUOTES,WE FOUND RENDERCRAFT KNOWLEDGABLE AND REASONABLY PRICED.
THE EFFICIENCY OF THE WORK EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS AND I WOULD HAVE NO HESITATION IN RECOMMENDING THEM.
WELL DONE LADS VERY HAPPY MART

After having the whole house rendered would I recommend Rendercraft ?
Yes.
Nothing is ever perfect but these guys were as near to it as I've seen in a very long time.
Any small imperfections that I noticed and pointed out they happily rectified and the whole process was far less stressful than anticipated.
The type of render I wanted is the most expensive but the price was comparable to other quotes so it was down to a recommendation from another very highly regarded rendering company.
They couldn't do the work in the time frame required because of an over full order book.
It's always a worry when having any work done on your home but I think you'll be hard pressed to find anyone better than these guys.
Having read some of the previous less flattering reviews it's very surprising as I had none of those problems.
Yes, they had to use the garden to leave their equipment at the end of each day and yes there were bits of render and dust etc on the lawn but for goodness sake how else can anyone do this kind of work without leaving some evidence....
They were very good at covering the areas that needed it to avoid damage and at cleaning up each day.
You'd have to be overly fussy or plain stupid to expect no mess at all.
The house now looks fantastic but will it stay that way, as it should, only time will tell.
we decided to go with Rendercraft to carry out the works on our house in billericay after several quotes there was no pressure with sales an got exactly what we were expecting the quality of workmanship was second to non and the price was very competitive. I would recommend them every time.
Thanks again guys
all the best

As A chartered engineer in the oil and gas industry I am very particular about detail.
I had three quotations for the renderwork to my property.
Rendercraft weren't the cheapest but I felt comfortable with what Jamie had to say about the products and the methods used.
I can say that I am very happy with both the workmanship and the cleanliness of the workers.
The job was finished within the 2 week time frame.
I chose a Parex Silicone render product.
I now have a house to be proud of and would like to say a big thank you to jamie at Rendercraft Facades for a fantastic job.

Thank you Rendercraft for the wonderful job you guys carried out. You kept our brand new windows and patio immaculate throughout the works. We will definitely be recommending you to our friends.

We have had the front of our house Rendered today,we are absolutely delighted with it,the work was carried out very professionally, clean tidy excellent work.I could thoroughly recommend Rendercraft .
We have an oast house that had 2 very leaky brick roundel roofs where the old render had worn away. Rendercraft have done a wonderful job on what was a tricky project. We had several companies come to look and quote, but Paul's suggestions on how to deal with the roof were the best by far. The workmen worked very hard and were extremely clean and tidy. Our roofs look amazing and I would recommend Rendercraft to everyone.
Our 1930's house was looking very sad, with every wall in a different colour, peeling paint, cracked pebble dashing and damp getting in. Rendercraft had been recommended by a friend of the family and so we called Paul in to give us a quote. Work began just a few weeks later and I have to say that we have never seen a team work so hard. They were such lovely lads, they did not stop from the minute they arrived, and such craftsmen - the walls are just beautiful, like velvet. They were always polite, happy (in such grim weather) and were just fantastic. Any mess was soon cleared up at the end of each day. Just four days later and the job is complete - I feel like we have a new home! Stunning! Have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Rendercraft. Excellent.
We had our house rendered 10 years ago with Rendecraft and were very happy with their professional manner at the time. We are now in the process of having our front drive laid, the company working on the drive were unable to match the base of the house colour with the existing render. Following a call to Rendercraft they are providing some new mix at no cost for the drive workmen to use. An excellent service considering the length of time we had the house rendered.
From the first point of contact with Paul we felt there was no selling pressure. When Paul came around to us he explained what was involved. When the job commenced the team graffted from the minute they got there to the minute they finnished. They kept the mess to a minimum cleaning up as they went along. The final finish to the house is fantastic and has changed the look of the property completly.I would recommend Rendercraft to anybody.
We first contacted Paul after we moved into an 155 year old cottage that was looking very tired. The old external render was in a bad way cracked, peeling falling off in places. Some rain water had been making its way through the cracks in the old render creating damp issues on some walls too.
Paul came and surveyed the old render and made some excellent suggestions tailored to our particular property. We decided to go for the insulated monocouche coloured render.
Paul and his team are excellent and very knowledgeable. They all worked really hard. They are polite, nothing is too much trouble, always cheerful in the worst freezing weather of December 2012. The guys made an excellent job. Friends, family and also people including my electrician, roofer, plumber, carpenter and window fitters have all commented on the fantastic finish. Highly recommended. Happy for any future customer of Paul's to have look at the finish he delivered for us.

Just like to thank Rendercraft for a fantastic job carried out very professionally.
We had 3 quotes although you was marginally more expensive I had confidence in your no pressure approach to getting across the information on the system used
without trying the hard sell.
You cleaned up thoroughly and were very polite.
It was a pleasurable experience having the work done by yourselves.
Best regards Alex, Blackheath
