I have recently had all my guttering, facials and down pipes replaced with what appears to be good quality materials. However all has not gone well from the start. Firstly torrential rain so unable to fit( no fault of theirs) and therefore had to return for further days. All seemed to be going reasonably well apart from them cracking my water butt which was to be moved and reused and breaking capping stones on a wall by knocking them off. When work was completed and they had left and having been paid the balance as requested I went to tidy up around and removed a piece of plastic from a drain only to have the drainpipe fall on my head! It was then I realised that none of the drain pipes were attached to the walls. I phoned to notify and was then let down twice by people not attending . When eventually someone did come they didn't have any of the clips needed so couldn't do the job!! So I phoned again. Was let down once more and then spoke to installation manager who said the original workmen would come and fix problems at 8.30 on day given. On day they phoned to say they were going elsewhere first and would be here around lunchtime! Early afternoon they arrived and completed work and replaced capping stones and fixed waterbutt so it collected water. They had put the connector on the drainpipe upside down so the water wasn't coming out!!!
At last I thought all was done but then received a letter asking me for more money. A letter asking for the balance was incorrect as they had put in the wrong deposit amount and therefore I had paid the wrong balance!!! Their fault , not mine.!! However the installations manager spoke to me as if I was an idiot and said if I'd looked at the original contract I would have seen that there was a mistake. I thought I was dealing with a reputable company and therefore trusted what I was asked for without checking as the sums added up. He even questioned where the letter had come from... Until they found a copy in their files!!!
By now I was upset and angry at how I was spoken to and treated. I paid the final amount and hope that's the end of it. I have been really messed about and wasted several days waiting around.
What happened to customer service??? In my case the Launa Man Can't... so good luck if you use them.
They made mistake on my window , have to call and asked to come and finish the job , they are going to bring me door stops , called. Few times , no one has called me back , the only thing positive is the person in the office she is very good and polite
Our windows and bifold doors were fitted last March2016. All our 3 lots of Bi folds have been taken out twice as when we have heavy rain they leak.We are now 12 months on and they still leak. We fortunately have paid the deposit of £5900 on a credit card and they are now threatening court for the other 21k, we have now rejected their useless windows and doors as the continuing water damage has damaged our home and made it unusable . We will claim our monies paid from the credit card as they wont refund but want to now get a surveyor in to no doubt let them try again! Don't touch this company as the communication from the manager is none existent and they are totally inept. They have admitted human error and they think thats ok. Never sign the satisfaction if you have an order going through with them as the fitters do push for you to sign when they have finished the fitting. We did not as they had not finished the outside at that time. We have loads of pictures of the poor workmanship. They did tell us not to worry you have a 10 year guarantee. Spend your hard earned money with a company that knows what they are doing, this shower don't. The MD will not talk to us or give us his email address he just hides behind his minions.
Company Response
I am really sorry to hear about the problem you have experienced following your installation.
please be assured this has been passed on to senior management to look into and make contact with your at the earliest available opportunity.
Once again please accept our apologies for the inconvenience.
DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM LAUNA WINDOWS
Wrong products, shabby work, workmen don't turn up and when they do they finish for the day at 2.30! My home has been damaged by the workmen. Customer service is disgusting, installation manager is rude. Wish I hadn't bothered and had gone for Windows from a better company! Don't waste your time or money!!!
Excellent service from first contact through to completion.
The worst service it has ever been my misfortune to receive.. dodgy sales advice, incorrect items received, clear glass in the bathroom, really?! Wrong coloured door surround.. different amounts stated as outstanding balance.. signed up April.. completed Dec.. are threatening me with debt collectors as I have withheld a small amount to cover the expenses I have incurred.. I wish I had never had the work done.. stressful does not cover it!
RUBBISH! Salesman did the job taking the money, customer services Were friendly until things got difficult. Replaced bay window twice, fitters didn't use, correct 'jacking poles' caused upper bay to drop and create cracks.
WENT BUST And claims previous company nothing to do,with them! Barclays finance ditched Launa and refunded the money and then stopped providing finance because of poor service and like a Phoenix from the flames another similar double glazing company from Newton Abbot called LAuna.....appeared 3 months later, location, works vans have re-appeared all very similar to the previous company.
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
Company Response
W believe this review is unfair and as Mr Hodder stated, the work he had done was by the previous company Launahurst Limited, who went into administration in 26th April 2012; so therefore Launa Windows Limited should not have a negative review against them when the work was not installed by them. This company has no connection to the previous company.
John did an excellent job. He did a good, clean, tidy job. He also took the time to explain the opening and closing of the windows. I would recommend Launa Windows.'
This installation was our 2nd and both times we were most pleased.
Excellent will definitely recommend and buy further product. Thank you.
On behalf of the management company responsible for the maintenance of our complex, We were very pleased with the efficiency and ease of all aspects of the installation and service in general.
If I could leave no stars I would. When we decided to have some windows and French doors fitted we experienced friendly and efficient customer service.the fitters themselves were pleasant and punctual. However after the Windows had been installed we discovered the French Windows had been incorrectly fitted . Since then it has taken over a year to correct and although the company admitted liability still nothing has been done. The customer service from the manager has been appalling. Phone calls and emails have been unanswered and I am left feeling extremely angry.
I am pleased with the high standard of the entire process of my installation. Terry and Jamie worked efficiently throughout. They were polite and friendly. The work area was left clean and tidy. I would recommend Launa Windows.
Very happy with look and first class quality of Windows and doors. All staff throughout the purchase and installation have been very friendly and professional and the job was completed within the agreed timescale. A special thanks to Pete and Elliot who were extremely hardworking and respectful of my home. They kept me informed of arrival and leaving times which was helpful and left everything clean and tidy. I would be more than happy to have them back in future and would recommend Launa Windows to others.
Had the front three windows replaced by LaunaWindows on 1st April. The lads who did the work were very good cleaning up after themselves and worked very hard.I designed how I wanted the front of my house to look with the style of windows.Launa took it all in hand and l was very pleased with the finished product. SO thank you very much.
Mr Mrs Foster.Plymouth.
Had a patio door and a uPVC front door fitted on Feb 1st.
Having a few issues with both doors.
I have had to do all the chasing trying to get things sorted.
Had nothing in writting after ringing several times. Had the fitters out twice after ringing again I was told a new patio door would be ordered.
Still nothing to confirm what was happening.
Very dissapointing.
All windows and doors fitted 5 years ago,, all metalwork is corroded and rusty even the handles and letterbox were supposed to be chrome but have corroded. ( all the ones inside too ) paid cash to pold company so lost my 10year warranty. AVOID and go to a better company :-(
Avoid this company like the plague. The cliche window installer. Tick all the right boxes to get you to purchase. Installed 13 windows in 2011 - cash purchase too!! Quality of installation poor - excessive filler & poor repair of broken render etc. Regretted immediately after install as window quality poor also - as evidenced by rusting hinges due to pooling water. Apparently, the company was bought by a new owner - same name! Nothing will have changed. Be warned. One star as can't give none.
Company Response
This review should be removed, Mr Allnutt had work installed by Launahurst Limited, as he is aware (and says they went bust) Launahurst Limited was placed into administration 26th April 2012, so Launa Windows Limited should not have a negative review against them, when the work was not installed by them. This company has no connection to the previous company and any queries should be addressed the administrators Begbies Traynor.
We have just had new windows and doors fitted by Launa Windows, from start to finish the experience with Launa has been great, no pressure sales and very completive price.
Our job consisted of 15 windows and 3 doors finished in a lovely Oak wood style including internal seal boards. The job was completed at the end of January and the workmanship was excellent the two fitters Dan and Terry were excellent, very courteous clean and tidy, the standard of work brilliant, the attention to detail and finish was outstanding, I would definitely recommend Launa as 10/10 experience.
Avoid!
I have used them in the past (windows/doors back of the house) and they did a very good job - no complaints. We used them to replace the windows and a porch to the front of the house and what could go wrong did! The fitter was rubbish at fitting windows - broken glass, damage frames, frames cut to short - a very messy job.
They replaced the bay window in the end! When I thought it was all over then the upstairs bay started to leak - rang the Bristol office every day for 4 days then gave up and fixed it myself, not what you expect when you have just spent £7k with them!
Asked for the regional manager to call me several times - never did!
It's not worth the stress and hassle
Do not use this company!! AVOID AT ALL COST!!
We have spent around 12,000 having Windows doors and conservatory on a new build and what a joke! They broke many windows when putting them in and didn't fit them level, leaving gaps everywhere, the gutter in the conservatory is sloping the wrong way so water sits in there getting green and gunky! They have drilled the retaining bolts in too far and split the plastic and one of the most laughable jobs was the letter box!! They didn't bring the correct letter box at first so some bright spark stuck a piece of pvc to the door with adhesive which completely ruined the door panel! When they came back they put the letter box on but........ Forgot that it was supposed to be level!!!!!!! What a complete joke, they've been back 10 times now and it's still not sorted!!!! Every time the fitters came they made it clear they didn't want to be here even though they were fixing their own shoddy work!! I will never go back and would avoid at all costs!
Had a large conservatory fitted by Launa. They could not fix the leaks after many visits they went bust.
I took out insurance which covered anything apart from a claim. The fault for the leaks was the design
Of the roof was not correct structure. Beware when you buy

The LAUNA MAN CAN'T, believe me what a total mess up. I wanted a Conservatory and got a 'Builders Folly' left in my front garden. I can't put all the details here but I will eventually put them all together on a blog or web site. They did not stick to the date plan, their surveyors plans were wrong even when the re-surveyed and re drew them they were still wrong, the quality was just total rubbish. They only built the base in the wrong place and wrong size with the wrong angles, damp course in the wrong place. I spent hundreds of hours trying to get it sorted out with their S Devon office and their MD Mr. Haydon Rushton of Britannia Windows BRISTOL, he would agree one thing and then change his mind, they eventuall
they 'RAN AWAY' leaving the mess of a wrong construction behind and tossed me a cheque for the return of my deposit, a very dishonourable group of companies in my mind. Wait for the blog/website I put together, you wont believe your eyes. TOTALLY RUBBISH . . .BE WARNED.
Company Response
This is a matter where solicitors have been engaged and the company is taking advice on whether or not to sue the customer for libel, his comments should be removed. The company did everything in their power to try and satisfy Mr Stainer, who is an incredibly difficult customer. Every time an agreement was reached with him he changed his mind and in the end the only course of action remaining was to return his deposit and walk away from the job at a considerable loss to the company.
An update to my previous review which incidentally I gave 1 star too not 4 as shown.
3 times the Launa men came out to the existing leak - with good luck & a fair wind the leak may well now be fixed. A phone call to the CEO AND a phone call went unreplied to. Absolutely disgraceful!
As nice as the installers were I would NEVER recommend this firm to anyone!
Recommended by a friend and his view was confirmed by a a very acceptable price following a thorough survey. Given a choice of start dates. They arrived on time (actually via the pheasant pen but that was SatNav's fault) , completed a good clean job efficiently and very politely. Most satisfactory.
Salesman excellent - sold a great pitch & promised much. But my goodness, the 'Launa Man Can'??? No he jolly well can't. Poor adherence to timescales, promised call backs not made by installations Manager, e mail to MD still not answered in over three weeks! Workmen themselves were nice chaps, but when initial Builders showed themselves to be sub-contractors I realised this was not going to be a good experience! It's not! 2nd and same leak still not fixed.
Had I known this review site existed I would have avoided Launa Windows like the plague! NOT a family business but part of huge Windows firm that we (thought) purposely avoided.
Almost £11k all told.
I would not EVER recommend this firm.
Company Response
This customer has had work done by us, she did have a leak, which we received an email about, which we have already attended and fixed the leak.
Miss. Loren
I have revised my original review earlier this month up to 4 stars, as Launa have since replaced the faulty glazed panel in the kitchen. Although it would be nice not to have had any issues, I accept that things can go wrong. The important thing is, that those issues were addressed without dispute. Many thanks Launa.
5 years ago we had all our house windows replaced by Launa. 3 years ago we had a lean-to conservatory installed behind the garage by Launa. In March 2015 Launa replaced our main house conservatory and also fitted a set of patio doors. We are very happy with all aspects of this Company. Their products seem to stand the test of time and their workmanship is good. They have always carried out the contracts promptly and the installation teams have been pleasant and professional. In our opinion, Launa can be strongly recommended as a reliable Company offering good value.
We placed an order for 7 windows to be replaced with triple glazed windows. In addition, a new composite front door, a new back door and replacement of the patio doors, with French windows. There did seem to be a long delay between placing the order and being contacted by the surveyor. I had to contact Launa Windows a couple of times to chase up on said surveyor. Once the survey had been completed, we were contacted in good time to arrange the fitting. The work was duly completed on schedule, however, there were a number of defects requiring resolution. I contacted Launa to report the defects and they gave me a date for their engineer to call and rectify the problems. The defects were all sorted out, with the exception of one of the kitchen windows, which has, what can best be described as a reptile skin pattern on it, which is only visible when the sun shines on it. Unfortunately, it is on the middle pane of glass, so, it is inaccessible. The engineer said he would report it, but was not hopeful it would be replaced. To-date I have heard nothing from Launa as to whether or not they are going to remedy it. If not for that issue, I would have given them 4 stars. Some of the defects, in my opinion, should not have occurred, so a 5 star review would not be appropriate.
Brilliant, from the rep, Peter to the fitters, Matt and Matt. Pleased with the windows, making a difference to the warmth already! They look good too. Good price as well. Would recommend.
Our A Rated double glazed windows are of exceptional value and quality -with the service given, being first class from start to finish.
I ordered my Conservatory in March 2013 and to date it is still not fully completed! It is leaking and despite numerous complaints and visits from Launa the leak is still there. I have lost count of the amount of phone calls I have had to make regarding this leak. I even emailed the owner of the company but he totally ignored my email, not bothering to reply. Launa aftersales customer service is absolutely non existent and I will not be recommending them to anyone. I phoned Launa today (18th August 2014) as fitters were booked to repair the leak last Friday but they didn't bother to turn up either! I have now asked for compensation for the stress this has caused me but I won't be holding my breath? Launa Windows - don't touch them with a barge pole!
AVOID AVOID AVOID Had 2 doors fitted last year, the salesman was brilliant but from then on dow hill, even the chaps that fitted the doors asked why we were getting new ones!!! Now I know why, got them fitted last April 2012 speaking to trading standards now, registered letters sent still nothing, last winter our doors were so drafty, they will be taken to court and we want costs....down right disgusting I can not stress enough AVOID at all costs....
If I could leave no stars that would be better. Salesman had all the patter, said he would manage everything and it would all be painless. He's not contactable! either answer machine or away on holiday. Install - wrong items turned up and they were damaged. Bit late telling me at 3pm that the orders wrong and damaged when there's an 8ft hole where my front door used to be. Now a month later I'm still waiting for it to be fixed... Still waiting for the second part of the order to be completed. But once again can't get hold of the salesman and the customer service number-though polite and try to helpful can't provide answers. This will be continued/updated after we get more or even less information on the remaining parts of this order. Won't be using or even recommending them to anyone other than to say use someone else.
New windows, frames & sills were fitted in our sun room / porch - on one of the days with gales & torrential rain! "They won't turn up on a day like this!" we said. But a pair of lovely gents promptly arrived & sent about the task with a will, getting soaked to the skin in the process - they were fantastic, as is the finished job, including clearing up all the resultant mess. Our views across the countryside are now amazing & the whole project has been a complete success. Thank you so much Launa! (We loved the renditions of "The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow" too)!
wooppee launa windows they are fantastic, but not at reading a tape measure the windows they fitted were botched.they leaked that bad the walls now have to be taken back to stone dried out and replastered and skimmed.a pro window fitter .came to put them right and said I wouldn't even touch them mate.one window was that short they put two off cuts of window frame to hold it up then put cover strips over the top to cover them up my advice to you stay well clear I can see why they went bust but look out they are back.and to back up my words I invite them to come and have a look and even put it all right but lets face it they took the money and legged.
Very poor in all areas except the salesmen who obviously did their job well as I chose them to fit 2 bay windows and supply other windows.
We had absolutely loads of issues including, windows measured incorrectly by as much as 40mm on 4 of the windows. They offers to rectifie the problem and fit them for free, I wish I had not as the fitting was rubbish with many issues.
There were many problems, so many that I can't be bothers to put them down. Overall the worst this is the terrible customer services, they are fine until you have a problem, the fitting manager is the worst most unprofessional person I have ever had the mifortune of talking to on the phone, in fact he never returns your calls
