Terrible company. Go elsewhere for your windows and doors. Waited nearly a year and they ruined our house. Half of the windows and doors don't fit and still waiting. Do not use Brittania
We contracted Britannia Windows to build our lean-to extension with an ultralight roof (Ultraroof) in August 2020. Despite being in the middle of the pandemic, we were assured that the extension could be completed in 3 months once planning had been issued (confirmed in a letter). This ended up taking nearly a year to complete.
Although we are pleased with the overall build quality (confirmed by a snagging expert) – the journey we have been through was incredibly stressful and frustrating. The compounding delays, several last-minute changes of the installation date and lack of transparency resulted in the fact we would not recommend Britannia Windows. We also found the manner of the management to be rude and dismissive, particularly when we asked to escalate our complaints.
Awful service, kept waiting over 7 months and ended up loosing the deposit. They continue to ignore my complaints despite delivering a letter in person. They have no care towards their customers. They don't answer the phone, respond to emails or carry out the work when they say they will. The whole process has been a nightmare.
3rd time of using Britannia windows never again poor communication left us with no tarpaulin so all the rain came in damaging flooring. Still work not finished and no response have rang and emailed so many times Very Very disappointed after doing a good job earlier on.
We have been incredibly disappointed by our experience of Britannia Windows. We had eleven windows, a composite front door and conservatory installed by them and the entire experience felt like a battle. Initially, we were promised by the salesman that all work would be completed in twelve weeks, regardless of lockdown. This was not true. We waited four months for our windows, just over five for our door and seven for our conservatory. The customer service and communication has been appalling. Phone calls and emails are ignored or go unanswered for weeks, including those to management. The only communication they volunteered was to ask for money before our job was completed. We are still without a plastered wall or lights in our conservatory, 32 days after the completion of the exterior, with no sign of this work being done any time soon.
Having worked with many companies throughout the renovation of our home, we have not encountered service as appalling as that provided by Britannia Windows. Avoid at all costs.

Had an internal patio door installed. Over a period of a few months the door would no longer close and lock, the outer frame had buckled, and the door had dropped from the frame rendering it dangerous.
Had to telephone the Brislington Office a few times to get help, no urgency about anything despite informing that the door was nearly off the hinges.
An Engineer came and asked me who fitted the door whilst shaking his head. Confirmed that the heavy glass door was nearly off the hinges and dangerous and that it had been fitted very badly. This door could have smashed down and seriously injured someone.
The door was made safe and informed me that I would need another visit for the frame to be sorted out... did inform me that I had no chance of having a new one despite the mess it is in.
Still waiting for another appointment... obviously no communication from this branch as usual.

Very shoddy workmanship. This is the second time I have had cause for complaint... the first time being the damage caused by fitting the door was corrected by a ‘trainee’ o who was over 50 and who admitted had been in the trade all his life! The damage to the plaster was filled in by hand with polyfilla that they asked me for. A child could have done better. An absolute shocker of a company and should be struck off. Regret the day I ever asked for a quote.
I purchased a new door from new Windows,Britannia Windows 3 years ago, it was fitted on a Friday in a shoddy manner, it was not straight, not finished properly, with glass not straight and it leaked with a gap around the edge I could fit my finger in. I was persuaded this was all me, I had perceived these issues. This was the start of 3 years of hell until now I have given up. The door was finally replaced this Nov and still leaks. The quality of fitting is v poor, staff ignore customer complaints, do not update customers and fail to sort out issues despite what their website says 'no customer is left unhappy'. They would not a refund me and have ignored me again since X as when I reported the door leaking again, multiple times. Do not use this company,they do not deserve business and treat customers as an inconvenience. Passing off a highly expensive product fitted poorly. I now after 3 years remain with a door that leaked, lets in more draught than my old wooden door and I have no guarantee for it.
Never buy from them,you will regret it if you do. They have no idea of how to treat customers and what is good quality. Staff want to fit and run not carrying out work properly. I wouldn't rate this co at even 1
I have you used Britannia windows from Bognor Regis branch for years I’ve had my whole house double glazed with them last year 2018 I had three other bay windows replaced at a cost of £300 I then had my back door dropped so they sent a repair guy round here just had the hinge and replaced it with a screw that he had in his van I said that was the best he could do and that they would invoice me which would be £50 I thought no more of it and 12 months later I get an invoice 12 months who is doing the bookkeeping there with the added bonus on the bottom if I didn’t pay they be sending out a debt collector now is this a way to treat someone on their own and with mental illness I am now distraught why have they waited 12 months and why they treated me like this when I’ve spent a lot of money with them instead love to them I would never recommend using this Company if this is the way they treat people it’s appalling it’s their mistake and now the penalising me for and sending me threatening letters
Extraordinary poor customer service.
I ordered a door with side frames from them. Was told lead time would be 6 - 8 weeks. When I chased them at the 6 week point for a date, was told the order hadn't even been put through yet.
Totally inefficient process handling throughout by the Chandlers Ford branch. Constant chasing by me, constant delays and inactivity by them.
Eventually was told the colour I had chosen had changed because of the delay, and that they couldn't match the frame colour to the door colour.
Totally useless. I would advise very storngly to go elsewhere.
In July 2018 we signed an order for three external doors. The surveyor didn't turn up because the office had not told him about the appointment so a second appointment had to be arranged. The front door was fine , although the lock may have to be replaced because the fitter agrees that it is now misbehaving. The back door and patio door were manufactured incorrectly, without vents and wrong size glass so had to be remade, finally installed in November 2018, four months after placing the order. A hinge on the back door had to be repaired and partly replaced in May 2019. The fitters were excellent but the office and admin systems are poor, resulting in missed appointment, non-communication, minimal apology for incorrect manufacture, resulting in delayed installation. The doors look good but it was a long haul to get the job done correctly and the lock/hinge are less satisfactory. We submitted a list of the problem issues in November but were still charged the full amount. In April, 9 months after placing the order, and when the lock and hinge were causing problems, we received Britannia's Customer Satisfaction Survey. How satisfied did they expect us to be?
Very poor after service never turned up after numerous telephone calls never a return call from service engineers dept . regarding fault. profile even built out of square top opener 2" MORE ON ONE SIDE to frame glad we only ordered one window from this company.
We have had our front door replaced with a composite door and frame from Britannia Windows in Clevedon. We were so pleased with the quality and price we later purchased two new windows and a large four panel patio door. The quality of the all the very good. All windows and doors work very effectively, the fitter was efficient and spotted a small scratch on one of the glass panes, which I had not seen and even when pointed out to me I was struggling to see. This pane was replaced within a few weeks or so with no hassle. The sales person, surveyor and fitters were all very good at their jobs. I will have no hesitation in using or recommending Britannia in the future.
Excellent service throughout and competitive price and I would have no hesitation using Britannia Windows again. Very good engagement initially at the Brislington showroom where our queries were all answered. Surveyor identified some changes which were carried through to manufacture and installation. Problems on site which demanded a non-standard fix were dealt with very effectively by the installation team. Finally, door magnet and plastic finishing pieces (extras) delivered to the door by Brittania. All very satisfactory and I am very happy to give 5* rating.
I had a very positive experience with Brittania. The sales man was very professional and efficient. The service and delivery was excellent and the windows looked as promised at their very reasonable prices.
All fitted to a high standard. I would recommend them to anyone looking for windows or doors.

We had a new front door fitted earlier this month. From our initial visit to the showroom to choose the style of door we wanted right through to the fitting of the door we have nothing but praise for the whole team in Clevedon. The cost was also comparable to other suppliers. We would have no hesitation in recommending Brittania Windows to friends and family and will consider them again if we need any further work done on our house.
