Took a £1000 deposit and then demanded a further £4000 before starting work.
Replacing a bath with a shower, not difficult but beyond DM Designs capabilities or the dubious quality of the tradesmen they use. See photos for the finished product in the airing cupboard and the leaking toilet outlet. Took them over a week to fit the shower but it didn't work, no hot water, then took them days to identify the problem (insufficient head pressure) so had to retrofit a pump in the airing cupboard, see photos for the finished product, also disturbed the toilet which subsequently leaked, see photo of the silicon job. This poor pensioner has been grossly overcharged for this second rate job. Could quite easily have had the complete bathroom replaced for half the price and it would have worked.
Absolutely awful company. my bathroom arrived on Monday and the man started fitting it. on Tuesday the wet wall and tray arrived I knew as soon as I saw the tray it was too small for a walk in disabled shower I called Ben at head office to be told I will need to buy my own shower tray because I signed the contract. worse was still to come the next day we discovered that the toilet nor the sink fitted due to being measured wrong. again I called the famous ben who told me I could have the toilet fitted where it should be with my elbows hitting the wall and my knees hitting the towel rail or have it off centre those were my only 2 choices.
The sink was the same it doesn't fit either on calling ben again I was asked for money for a new shower tray money for bits to finish the bathroom and money for the workman digs for the night.
I was assured if I didn't pay that day I would not be getting the items to finish my bathroom before the workman left on Saturday.. After many tears I called back and paid £410. needless to say the items never arrived and the workman has left. so as it stands I have no shower to use and an incomplete bathroom all because a disabled woman wanted a walk in shower. Run a mile if they come to your door I am receiving legal advice on Monday 3rd April 2017
Purchased a fitted wardrobe. Been bombarded with marketing calls ever since. 3 years now. They refuse to remove details from their database despite numerous complaints.
I've now been forced to complain to TPS and plan on contacting my family lawyer should it continue.
Seriously considering walking in to their head office and confronting one of the them face to face until the issue is resolved.

Words cannot describe how awful this company is, how shoddy their workmanship and how utterly heartbroken and disgusted we were, as a family, by their actions. DM cold-called my elderly, vulnerable father and sold him both a bathroom and a kitchen of such indescribably dreadful quality that visitors to the house were embarrassed and appalled when shown the work. At one point, the so-called expert plumbers drilled a hole right through the bathroom wall and into the bedroom behind. They "finished off" that error by slapping some plaster over it. The work took months and cost tens of thousands. The kitchen units didn't (and still don't) fit. But worst of all, the sales reps are still calling. They never apologised for the terrible workmanship, never finished the job and they are still calling, even though they have been told three times my dad is dead. Shameless, disgraceful, disgusting, rubbish company.
Disappointed, I will not recommend company to friends and family. When at planning stage it was mentioned to salesman how important it was to have upper units big enough to hold a dinner plate, of course I had the sizes on the computerised plan to check, but having mentioned issue took it for granted they would be standard. Decorator to follow was unable to fill big holes following cooker hood move so had to employ a joiner, added expense, will ignore fact that a sink hole was cut in wrong side of under worktop as it can only be seen from inside unit. The biggest grudge I have with DM Design is that they re installed my integrated fridge wrongly thus no longer working. It was acceptable for the electrician to return identify the problem, thought he had fixed it as there was now power getting to the fridge but alas it had turned into a freezer. No joy gained from a manager Stuart whom I believe has serious attitude issues, when contacting head office in Cumbernauld, so more unforseen expense to replace fridge. Stuart stated the age of existing fridge so didn't appear bothered never mind that it was working fine until they re-located it

I have looked at your file and can see that the wall unit depths were detailed on there so I apologise for any confusion with meat plates not fitting on the wall unit shelves.
I can see there was no plaster work detailed on your contract but I would be confident that one of our employed plasterers would be able to deal with the small gaps either side of the hood you refer to, so I would be concerned that your decorator could not deal with this.
With regards to the Fridge/Freezer, with this being a 12 year old appliance that was removed and already damaged, I’m afraid we cannot be held responsible for this as is stated on our contract.
I have spoken to the Operations Manager who said that conversations with yourself and your husband were discussed at the Weekly Installation Meeting between him and Stewart and Stewart was simply following the Terms & Conditions of the contract which you signed and did receive around 7 phone calls from yourself and your husband.
I apologise you are not happy with the finished kitchen but we believe that we have delivered everything as contracted.

Showed us one of the units great quality unfortunately that's not what you'll get when you buy. We went to their showroom. Very average and not what he was punting.

"Offer for today only", phoning to get a price from "colleagues" for the value of recycling our current kitchen and then for the supposed discount for featuring new kitchen in their brochure.
Made a great show of standing on one of the units to demonstrate it's quality.
Hours later got the price. More than we were prepared to pay. Said we would visit the showroom. He wasn't happy.
Out of curiosity visited the showroom. The units are NOT what we were shown. Far poorer quality. Totally bog standard.
Wouldn't touch this company with a barge pole.
When my husband and I bought a kitchen from DM Design we were told it would take in total 2 days, it did in actual fact take 9 weeks after all the disasters that happened. We ordered high gloss red but got matt burgundy instead. When I phoned to let them know their mistake a guy called Ian told me that they don't stock that colour, then after realising his mistake hours later he didn't even apologise. When we eventually got the right colour fitted there was lots of scratches on most of the doors, so these had to be replaced yet again, and again after the plasterer was finished, and part of the worktop had to be replaced due to a chunk being taken out of it and also the in-fill. We also had to replace a plant pot which was broken by the second lot of fitters.This was such a stressful time for me and my husband and would not recommend this company to anyone.

On our systems the difference between a Matt and Gloss red is one digit and whilst not acceptable, a mistake has been made by a member of our team.
On our systems it did take around 5 weeks to complete your job as this needed to be produced and 3 of the gloss red doors were provided scratched even though these come with a protective film layer. We have not ignored you and worked tirelessly to complete the job as contracted and to a high standard.
For all of the above we apologise and as a small gesture, I have arranged for M&S some vouchers to be sent out in the post.

DM Designs fitted a bathroom for my elderly parents , the shower door was poorly constructed , the joint in the glass parted and fitted so badly that your fingers could fit through the gap never mind water , after some time they sent a man to repair the door , his solution was to stick the door together with a wide bead off silicon and to attempt to readjust the door. The silicon is unsightly and not what you would expect on a new installation and the adjusted door leaked water in quantity onto the floor. Another complaint was lodged and we waited months with no response , eventually after another complaint they sent another man to attend to the problems , he again resorted to silicon and adjusting the door and yet again it leaks onto the floor . In addition its become evident that the toilet bowl is not secured to the floor and the securing nuts are actually just stuck in place with silicon.
DM Designs say as they have attended twice they want nothing more to do with the job.
A shoddy job with poor after sales backup , avoid this company at all cost.

Not even worth a rating, cold called my grandmother who is a vulnerable adult, persistent trying to sell a kitchen over the phone, came to the house forced her to sign an agreement which due to interest turned a "£7800 kitchen" into a £17000 kitchen. These people are conmerchants and should be locked up.
Sales men who lie and put customers lives at risk. That's just an internal wall - you can take that down yourselves with a strong hammer - guess what, no it was a supporting wall and the house could have fallen down - thank you DM Design for putting my 1 year old daughters life at risk who sleeps directly above this@!! Thanks DM Design who shouted at me, accused my wife of telling lies, took months and months to do anything and to so many people who were totally useless and full of lies in the head office. Thanks DM Design who put the wrong wood in the support in the roof and when the kitchen was finally fitted, we had to wait months for the council to approve with very little help but lots of attitude from DM Design. Dom, you had your chance (owner of the company) said you wanted to talk about your staff and their failings...but when you came to see us, you did not want this. No apology, no flowers or token gesture, nothing. Please use another company...not DM Design. Please, if anyone had questions, please ask and will give you my honest opinion. Guess this will soon be deleted anyway...but what I say is true!!! And is only half the story!!!
Wouldn,t trust this lot to build a wendy house. A serious gas leak, plumber called out twice, fittings that don,t work properly and their answer to everything, they are not going to do anything, bunch of cowboys. BEWARE
What can I say???? We contacted DM design as they did a superb job of the kitchen. Got a design and approved the installation of our bathroom. The two guys who came were clean, friendly and my bathroom looked great. Went to take a shower in our super duper shower and it was freezing. It turned boiling hot after a while then freezing again. Something to do with the mixer we were thinking. Phoned the Aberdeen branch whom we dealt with and was told to contact the branch near Glasgow. So far we re waiting for a return phone call from the firm. They were phoned Saturday, its now Tuesday and no word. We ve had no shower for over a week and when the times we have phoned to ask about whats happening we re being told its another department. Speak about being passed from pillar to post. As I write this we re still no further on in getting communication from the firm. Absolutelly raging as i feel as its a case of tough we ve done our bit. Aftercare is non existent. Was planning on getting the firm on doing my bedroom, Its certainly is a "was". Its a shame as the kitchen installation was perfect
The process of installing the kitchen started on time but, following a catalogue of disasters including a door being ordered several times -wrong size , wrong colour and again wrong size, it was not fully completed after a month. A work top had to be replaced as thejoin was not sealed correctly. I wrote directly to the director as I was very disappointed with the standard of customer service received, but did not receive a satisfactory reply.
Now just under 5 years, I have water intrusion on the counter around the sink and have been advised that this is not covered by the guarantee as it is due to wear and tear, and that it would cost me £75 to have it checked. My argument was that it was obviously not sealed correctly on installation, and was advised that they do not seal the ends of units they put a metal plate which is sufficient- obviously not.
I would not recommend this company as the customer service is atrocious and the guarantee does not appear to cover shoddy workmanship.
On the positive side, the workmen were very polite and arrived promptly- that is the best I can say.
My elderly mother paid £8k for the supply and install of some kitchen units this was on the basis that it would only take 2 days to install, this was on the 7th of January this year, she had to pay n the morning as soon as everything arrived, the kitchen is still not done and she has been told they will try to fit her in next week to finish the work and repair the light and chair lift they broke, once they have your money the service drops off, would strongly advice against using this company certainly do not pay until work complete

we would like to apologise for the delay in the completion of your mother's job as we strive to complete all jobs as promised. Unfortunately due to bad weather, the fit team were not able to get to the property until rather late on Thursday and despite working late on Thursday and Friday were not able to finish everything. The team did leave everything in a working order though and returned on the Monday at which point everything was completed with the exception of the fridge/freezer door.
This appliance was being purchased by yourselves and unfortunately a different one to the contract was purchased. This would usually be chargeable, however due to the timing issues experienced because of weather with your fit we have arranged to change and fit this at a cost to the company.
I hope your mother enjoys her new kitchen once all is complete.

3 years ago I had a kitchen fitted by DM Designs I am baffled by the good reviews because mine is a disaster. From the moment I was lied to by the saleswoman to now.I have made complaints and basically they were of hand and rude.We had different shades of wood,leaks in the gas pipes, electrics installed wrong etc all documented. The reason for this today ,is after having my sink changed 3 times by them I have had enough and brought one from a different company . All 3 within a few weeks , were tarnished and Bradley marked at the bottom of the bowl. We only used normal washing up bowls, DM response to that was its normal
Bathroom refit
Promised clean polite workers, and all material delivered at start of job which would take 5 days. I got 1 fitter who failed to show at the time I was told every day. All materials were not delivered. Job finally completed over 9 days but shower screen had to remain unused to let adhesive dry. The remedial team worked hard but this was two weeks of misery and stress and distress for my self and neighbours in this retirement complex. Zero stars is not an option or this would be my recommendation. The electrician and plasterer and remedial team were ok but nothing compensates me for this hellish experience. Work started 17 September and ended Thursday 27 th september
These people saddled my friend - who was in the early stages of dementia - with a loan at a horrific interest rate for some shoddy work. I am just getting into his paperwork and find that he has paid more that £5000.00 off a loan of £4000.00 and still owes more than £3000.00.

How can you tell how good the workmanship is when they don't even turn up. The office staff are just a shambles, sending out wrong paperwork, not sending paperwork when they were supposed to or calling. And when you try to get a hold of them either the office is closed or the person that can deal with your problem will call you back, what they don't tell you is that call will be in the next few years.
Experience with DM so far, where do we start; Salesman was out discussing price with my mother and at the blink of an eye took £4k of his initial price.How anyone can come up with a figure and take 4k off is beyond me. Certainly not the way I earn the trust of my clients, particularly when dealing with pensioners.
We then follow on to the kitchen installation which all appeared to be running quite smoothly only to find that there was leaking that was making its way out from under the plinth and causing the plinth to swell at the bottom. DM sent operatives out to fix the leak (they were there all day trying to fix the leak) there was of course other small minor snags like adhesive discolouring the vinyl and a few chips to the new veneers here and there which were also dealt with.
We then get to another leek between the new cold water inlet and the washing machine hose which appears to have caused damage to the flooring. Also appears to have made its way through in to the living room (full extent still to be confirmed as flooring will need lifted).
When the leak was identified, DM were contacted immediately. They sent the same plumber out that plumbed the washing machine into the cold water inlet the next day to fix the leak.I then asked them if they would accept liability for the damage caused to the flooring, immediately the answer was NO. When asked why; the answer we got was that they are 'not sure what caused the leak' not very definitive, however, I emailed them and asked if it was a possibility that the connection wasn't fitted correctly in the first place and through time came loose. After a couple of emails to chase up a response and a week gone by, I finally get a response which basically stated same as above. DM are not sure after 5 months what could have caused the leak.
The extent of DM help other than what's noted above to date is that 'it's an insurance claim now and we need to let them sort it out'. You can make up your own mind on DM.

Friendly fitter but he took time off, always left a mess and the finished job is still dirty with grout all over the wall, with some on the ceiling and fixtures. When he declared it finished he left gaps in the grout some bits were filled with blobs of silicon. They sent him back after a fist complaint and he tidied up the gaps in the grout, had a quick wipe round and got away as quick as he could. I wrote to DM again a week ago and still have not had a reply. My main complaint, aside from the messy grout work, is that the bath panel is only held by 3 screws. One corner has popped out giving an obvious curve to it. The 4th screw is not into anything behind it and the panel was only being held in place by some silicon which has now let go. We feel let down by them and angry that the finish is not what I expected. The overall effect is all about the finish. We were told it would be immaculate. We could clean the grout of the tile face etc. ourselves but why should we be left to do that having paid for them to do it for us. My wife cleaned the lower bits to stop our clothes getting all white when we brushed against the wall. The rest we left hoping they would send an inspector to judge for themselves. No luck on that front either so far

My elderly parents were cold called by these people in 2012. This company then talked them into taking out finance, bearing in mind that my father had dementia. The kitchen itself was a total rip off. Over £5000 for 5 cheap looking base units, a laminated worktop and a basic stainless steel sink. Just over a year later my father passed away leaving my mother with the dept. What sort of unscrupulous people con a couple aged 77 and 81?
I am extremely disappointed with the service from DM Design. I feel my family have been miss sold an overpriced product. The Surveyor who came to measure and redesign the kitchen was excellent - but the fitting has been dismal. The plasterer cancelled and when he eventually came did a rather shabby job, one of the workmen damaged the dishwasher - which took 2 weeks to repair, one panel was damaged when they cut to shape but has not been remedied and we were told there would be a 2-3 week wait for the worktops - 4 weeks later there is still no sign of them arriving!

new Kitchen fitted with odd coloured doors plus 1 missing..which was eventually sorted but main concern is they took out a better sink than what they put in,it was a cheap nasty looking thing that scratches when ever used .but was told to use t-cut on it....t-cut is for car paint finishes not steel....
Notice how up until june 11th nothing but bad reviews and since then a long list of wonderful 5 star reviews? Don't touch this company! Owner is a scammer. Company fined for constant harassment and the quality is crap! Preying on old people with their pushy salesmen! Seriously stick with a small independent contractor you will get much better deals.
Were approached by DMDesisgns with regards a new kitchen. We were told one thing, but got the other. At the time I was recovering from a stroke, and my wife was almost due to retire. We explained to them our circumstances ,and advised them we had already been turned down by a reputable company for a loan to purchase a new kitchen. The sales consultant, a Mr K Marley told us not to worry he would sort it all out for us. He gave us figures, which at the time seemed reasonable, but like everything else to do with this company, it turned out to be a load of rubbish.
The loan was arranged through GE Money for £6500 pounds. When the installers came to fit the kitchen they said they would need to change the design slightly. They had an electrician come to the property, and advised us that he would need to fit a new circuit board to cover the modifications in the kitchen. This we would have to pay for. They also fitted a "free dishwasher". When my wife came in from work and began checking the work they had done she found various faults. When we phoned the number the company left us in case of problems. The first words we were heard were "DMD Designs what's your problem.? This sent an alarm bell ringing through our heads. One of the things they made a big thing of was that until we happy with the kitchen, no money would be taken from our bank account.
There customer satisfaction guarantee gave us this assurance. This turned out to be wrong as we never signed any such form although we were given one, we refused to sign it.
We had one visit from a representative of the company, who more or less told us we had got what we had been charged for, but if we wanted anything changed he would do us a good deal !!!
We now have to pay a total of £15000 for a kitchen which is worth less than £3000
I would give this company a minus 3 stars, but it won't let you.
To add insult to injury the so called free dishwasher burnt out within 2 years, and repeated requests to repair it have been treated with total contempt.
Which is exactly how we feel this company should be treated.

we have made the mistake of falling for there scams and lies avoid at all costs.

as it was today to get the offers which we now know are a con and are offered to everyone.
My vulnerable elderly mother was duped into signing a credit agreement with Barclays. I did not discover in time. The price of the bathroom was £9k and she would end up paying £22.5K. I curtailed the agreement when I found out and she paid the balance. Hard sell tactics were used and her previous bathroom was about five years old and not in need of replacing as it was installed to meet the increasing needs of an elderly person.
The bathroom is of poor quality and workmanship.
Do NOT use this company they pick on vulnerable people with their hard selling tactics. My son who has learning difficulties was duped into signing up for a new kitchen which would have cost £8000 to pay for it they sold him a loan from Barclays which meant he would have paid back £21,000 all for a few kitchen units. Luckily I found out about just in time to stop it.
I have been continuously receiving phone calls from this company looking for a person that hasn't lived here in years. we only moved in last year and have had nothing to do with dm design, yet when they phone, on average 4 times a week, I explain that the person the are looking for is no longer resident. I didn't even know who it was that was constantly calling as whenever I ask who it is they hang up the phone, if you do 1471 it gave me a mobile number which I left a message on asking not to contact me again. today I got another call and it was only then I got the number for this awful company and only to inform me that they do not take incoming calls and to contact the website. horrible company- wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.
My mother was called too say she had been entered into a draw and if her name came out she would win money of a kitchen. Needless to say she got the call next day to say she had won £800 of a kitchen and arranged for a salesman to come out. The salesman came out today, appointment was for 3 pm but he appeared at 12.30! And stayed till 4 pm. My parents just wanted kitchen doors replaced and new worktops, 7'doors and a new set of draws. The total length of the worktops would be 5 meters at most, they were quoted £3500!!! This was the final price, the salesman said it was to be paid at £80 per month I asked him how long 120 months !!!! My parents are 81 and 77 they didn't go ahead with interference as the salesman said from family !!!! Why do you at DM Design pray on people ????

To start work on a kitchen it was ridiculous to arrive at noon
started in January but I hav e today learned they are not going to put it right,
I had my kitchen designed and fit by this company a few years ago, and now when I have an issue because of their poor design, they don't want to know. Basically they put my oven right next to the fridge. At the time I questioned it, but was told it was fine. There is no insulation between the two appliances, but more worryingly, there is basically a 5mm gap between the oven door and the fridge door, and now the fridge door is starting to blister. After contacting DM Design for help, I was fobbed off basically saying it's not their fault and I would have to pay £175 for a new door. I would never have anything from this company again.
I can only agree totally with the comments of Mrs Browne (Nov 2013). Do not have anything to do with this company. They use high pressure/bullying sales techniques aimed at the elderly and if you do arrange for a home visit the situation gets even worse. They act like the former discredited double glazing salesmen. The discounts are not real and the salespeople are just not nice people. I have rung several times but no apology has been forth coming. They told me that I would not be contacted again and I since have been 'cold called' at least 6 times. Do not deal with this firm !!!
Had a bathroom installed by DM design around 5 years ago and had nothing but problems with it.
Firstly when they were in the process of installing the plasterer somehow managed to smash the wash hand basin.
A couple of days after installation water was visibly leaking through my kitchen ceiling (below the bathroom), turned out the installers (joiners not plumbers) had failed to connect the overflow from the bath.
A couple of weeks later and the problems continued, more leaks in the kitchen ceiling, this time because they failed to seal the side of the bath so water was dripping down the side panel by the side of floor and through the floor boards beneath.
Then around another week later the Shower tripped the fuse box, had to wait a week for the shower manufacturer to come and inspect the unit, turned out that DM design who were supposed to have renewed all the electric cables had simply swapped out the fuse and wire for the old shower which was much less powerful and very old, and used that with the new shower, neither the wire or the fuse were actually safe to be used with the new shower, another visit from an "electrician" from DM Design, who decided that he couldn't be bothered doing a proper fix and simply swapped over the cable and fuse for our electric oven with that for the shower, and you guessed it, the next day the oven blew the fuse box, another call out from their "electrician" and it seemed that hopefully it would be an end to our troubles with these cowboys.
A couple of years later the shower which DM Design had claimed to have a 5 year guarantee stopped working, having already been told by the Triton engineer who inspected their bodged installation that this was absolute nonsense was left having to purchase a new shower and pay for an electrician to install it..
Then around a year later suddenly the toilet flush stopped working properly, which through choice and peace of mind chose to use a professional plumber rather than call on DM Design for the item failing within it's "10 year warranty". It turned out when the flush unit had been installed, the joiners that had installed it actually broke the fixing point, now a respectable tradesman would have got another brand new unit and installed it properly, but these guys from DM Design bodged together some incorrect sized pipes which should not have been used for a toilet cistern, and sealed the broken flush unit with a ton of silicon to hold it in place.
After the initial series of problems I had wrote a considerably long written complaint to the company director, never heard a thing from them, not even an apology, and they still have the cheek to cold call every now and again offering a "discount voucher" for a new kitchen installation.
Put simply, avoid at all costs, reading more recent reviews it is very clear that this company has no intentions of ever being anything other than cowboys!
we had a new kitchen fitted 5 years ago , the workmen were very pleasant and we like the design but the installer left a freezer unplugged causing a loss of £350, no sink unit top was ordered leading to a delay with the installation ie 2 days to get it from Scotland !! 3years on we had an awful smell which was eventually tracked down by our plumber it turned out that the sink waste had not been connected and the waste had accumulated under the house, When it dried out we were unindated with little black flies, the pest controller said it was the worst case he had ever come across. Towards the end of the warranty the bottom of some of the cupboard doors started to peel, the advisor was very rude and said they wouldn't do anything as it was our fault for having steam in the kitchen. we consulted trading standards who said the units were not fit for purpose but DM said they didn't take any notice of trading standards, 13 months on and visits from 2 people who agreed there was a problem also a call to say they would replace some doors we are still waiting, Do not touch this firm with a barge pole, it is a pity that only praise goes on their own web site as most people do not think to check elsewhere
i am writing to you this evening having just had yet another cold call from yourselves.
A few months ago we had a call from DM designs. We agreed to a home visit.
I have to say it was an appalling experience.
The first two hours weren't too bad... explaining the products etc....but so much time to get to the point and such a dreadful high pressure sales tactics
I did ring the office to register my concern about these tactics, and was twice told someone would call back
I decided to just lave it alone. But since then, we have had so many calls from DM designs that I feel duty bound to warn others. please, I would strongly advise against using them
The 'discount' they offer is just not true. The sales person that came was very polite at first but when we didn't agree to make a payment there and then (saying that we would obviously need to think about making a payment of over £14,000 for new kitchen, who wouldn't??) she became very hostile, phoned her 'boss' and then said ''oh ok, it'll now cost £7,000''. very bizarre. she even said on the phone ''yes i know they would be stupid not to accept this discount''. This is where she crossed the line. Its not really the way to get people to purchase anything I can tell you.
As I said, I rang their office, was told ''oh dear, this has never happened before, and someone will ring you back to discuss''. If they had bothered to keep that promise I wouldn't be writing this. But they have had every opportunity
I sincerely hope that other people will not be taken in by their sales talk and bullying tactics.
Had a kitchen fitted by this company January 2012, the fitters were extremely pleasant, customer service non existent. To fit one cupboard, 40mm had to be cut off the legs, one handle only attached by one screw, redundant waste pipe hole filled with silicon on the outside wall. Despite numerous promises had to wait until May for the worktops to be fitted, then they had to screw through the front panel of the unit to hold it together. Sealant around the worktops cracked and fell out within 2 days. A door was then changed in October 2012 and the only handle the fitter came with was not the same design, although he did take measurements for the missing shelves, which I am still waiting for. Then earlier this year I pulled the cooker away from the wall and find the best example of mains wiring ever. To provide power for the dish washer, they have broken away the tiling around a socket so that an extension can be run to a further double socket, the cable, 2.5mm t&e, is just lying on the floor. This does not comply with BS7671 as they have also spurred from a spur.
To finish a quote from their own care instructions "Do not place electrical appliances which omit heat or steam (kettles / toasters) directly under wall units". As most kitchens have wall units over all work surfaces where are you supposed to put such appliances.
All my offers inviting someone from D M Design to visit and resolve the problems have so far fallen on deaf ears.

WE had a kitchen fitted 8 years ago and I can honestly say it was the shoddiest work we have ever had done. From the poor selling technique of the sales rep who couldnt measure properly to the grumpy workmen wh made a toital mess of the kitchen and left me with a fitted kitchen that needed plasterers to cover up the wires they gouged the walls out to fit. The plumber flooded the kitchen when he made a hash of putting in the washing machine. Plugs were put next to water outlets and in the end the whole thing was ripped out after a year. If a could have put minus stars then it would have been - *******. DOnt touch them with a barge pole. Fit it yourself and it will be done better
Had a (very expensive!) re-face resulting in a lot of hassle with this company. Shoddy from start to finish with the only decent people the fitters. Electrician messed up by electrics and had to wait overnight to get them fixed. One week from fitting, I find that the washing machine has been re-plumbed wrongly and washing comes out hot! Can't use it for 2 weeks because that's soonest they can fix it, based on their convenience of course, not mine. As for their customer service, the operations manager probably rudest person I have ever encountered in a service company. DM Designs? Wish I'd never had anything to do with them. Run like made before employing them.
Kitchen fitted Costly . Reported . that pipe work from washer is wedged behind back support leg of sink unit and remainder of pipe very tightly wedged undersink unit. We cannot pull washer out , whch we wre able to do before. We have written 3 letters and sent photos of the problem Received one unhelpful reply .Replied to letter explaing again the fitters had wedged the pipe so tightly. The end panel uf the sink unit is not a full panel,it finishes about 6" off the floor, very messy. Unless DM corrects the errors we will have to pay plumber and joiner to undo their mistakes. Also why is there a gap of 1" between bottom units and top of plinths, all other manufacturers fit plinths tight to units Very,very disappointed in customer care
Had kitchen fitted back in 2011. Very nice and it did all they said it would do although I have no doubt that it was expensive. Now the worktop seams have started lifting the company does not want to know, claiming it is water ingress caused by our misuse ('our' meaning my wife and I) rather than poor sealing. Their customer service is non-existent so if you are thinking of using them - think again. They are coming to see me on Wednesday next but I am already thinking of getting replacement tops from another company. Dates: I reported the fault on February 11th 2013 and still it goes on. I also wrote to the MD but I see that was a waste of time. This company needs closing down.

nightmare has taken 12 months to finish waste of time calling trading standards at the end of the day they do nothing been dealing with them for 12 months, I have even got their promises in writing thats a laugh they dont follow this up they dont know the meaning of following through their downfalls, their maging director no longer works for the company and according to their project mangaer the MD had no authority to give his word neither did the ex manager of Castleford the cost of the kitchen was a rip off they should not be able to con customers and get away with it when will something be done about this company try ringing them you dont get through their work man must have different contact numbers as they seem to get through all the time. This project has caused so much stress its unbelievable and the company should be stopped conning customers.
I agree with other contributors who had problems. The company were very pushy, and I found out later that they were overpriced, especially for what we got. It took almost four months to get the bathroom finished properly; they broke my mirror and didn't fit or secure the bathroom units in the agreed way. And when I complained no-one seemed to care, even though I had an invalid in the house, which is why I wanted the bathroom refitted in the first place. I had to call again and again and threaten to put pictures of the unfinished bathroom online before anything happened.
Be warned, don't use them.
DM Design is a marketing scam company. They will press on you with endless calls and by employing ignorant but self-confident and pushy salesmen, and will sell you an over-priced although under-designed bathroom, kitchen or bedroom. Instead of entering into a relation with them, find local tradesmen who can do the job better, or do it yourself! That'd be quicker and much less stressful.
I'm having a month-long bathroom "installation" with them. The installers, as non-local tradesmen who presumably have to commute a lot, appear at work late, at around 11 am, and leave early, at around 4 pm. Therefore they cannot finish the job in the announced 5 days, and they hurry, leaving after themselves tiles that move, unfinished bathroom vent that points in the attic, and various small details that complicate decoration that I have to perform myself since the managers appear to think the company is still not paid "enough" to bother.
The customer service does not exist beyond the sales point. If you are unlucky as I am and some jobs are required from them after the 5 days of installation, you will likely spend a lot of time trying to track down managers who are evasive and take no notice of you trying to be a valued customer. For the last point, it's true that you are no longer valued to them once the money is theirs, by cash or a by a finance commitment alike.
Had bedroom furniture installed, workmanship ok but materials very poor. Wardrobe door fell off within the first year, hinges on another three doors gave up in the following years. Poor design work and choice of materials. Payed a very high price for this job and find now that the hinges cost only £2.50 each, hardly quality material. Tried to get DM to resolve this issue but they repeatedly told me the warranty was only for one year and then ignored further calls and letters on the subject. Beware of a very high pressure sales force promising massive discounts. Products are massively over-priced before the discounting.
Read the small print before signing, we were told by the salesman that they never use cheap products such as chipboard in their design yet the small print says they do ?? this point was heavily stressed by the salesman.
Unlike other premium home improvement companies DM Design do not have a great after sales service, very pushy on the sales. The salesman who visted us was very rude and I was on the verge of kicking him out but the wife wanted the bedroom done !!
Make your own decisions but I will not be one of their repeat customers.
42 days so far to install a bathroom that still isn’t finished.
While I am happy with the bathroom as it has been installed so far I am not happy that it was started 42 days ago and still isn’t finished.
Fitters we’re excellent, helpful with suggesting the best way to have things and modifying our design to suit what we wanted but I am not happy with the customer service and lack of contact from DM Design.
Our bathroom was started on 13/10/20 and as of today (23/11/20) it still isn’t finished. Had numerous delays, no-shows and no contact from DM Design, despite phoning them up to 7 times in a day and leaving multiple messages which have never been returned.
We wanted to use DM Design as we thought that they would manage the job for us with no chasing up required from our side, which turns out was not the case. Paid up front for their service and once they had our money it seems like they were not interested. Very disappointed with the service and would not recommend them.

No problem with the workmen, but the designer, Chad, could not design a working kitchen to save his life. At the sales stage I was promised a review after I signed a "proforma" invoice. I subsequently found out that it was a contract. The kitchen does not work. There is little room to serve up meals and bear in mind that this kitchen is 4.8m x 3.5m. The built in fridge and dishwasher are not top quality, as I was lead to believe, and not energy efficient. The fridge is noisy and the dishwasher leaks. The kick board is not sealed against water egress from the fridge. A promised extractor to the exterior did not materialise due to an inadequate preinstallation survey. During the sales pitch I was led to believe it would be a complete kitchen, but after I was coerced into signing the "contract" I was informed that tiling and flooring were not included. The kitchen cost me in excess of £17,000.00. and I still had to pay for flooring and tiling. I could not recommend any design from DM, but the workmanship was acceptable.
Fairly good job by the workmen that came from Birmingham to Lanark to fit my kitchen, overall the job should have taken 2 days but they took 4, still waiting for a cupboard shelf to arrive, one item below cooker had to be replaced as it was the wrong size and ceiling frame work arrived late. On last day workmen broke backdoor roller blind, tried to repair plastic bracket with wood glue, fell off after they left, also damaged vinyl floor. Reported these two items to telephone receptionist who emailed a manager, got a phone call from Stewart who seems to have an attitude problem and told him about the damages and asked for the cost, I phoned back the next day and he would give me the cost of the blind but said I did not mention the vinyl and would not pay for that. After sales service is terrible and would not recommend DMdesign to family or friends.
Delighted with quality of most of the product and the installation but larder unit uses a cheap wire enclosure which sags. Same unit can be bought at b&q for a fraction of the price. Was told by salesman that DM used Blum components throughout their range with lifetime guarantee. The wire enclosure is not Blum but some inferior make - a bit like fitting a plastic dashboard to a Rolls Royce. DM offered to replace it for an additional £350 - not happy with this outcome.

79 year old disabled granmother took advantage of by telemarketing offering money off her fitted bedroom. Sent a "designer" out to present voucher and stayed 6 hours not leaving until she agreed to purchase a bedroom design at 8k. Thankfully I managed to cancel before and damage was done. Looked at reviews online and it seems the have a habit of picking on the disabled and elderly. Stay away at all costs!
I had a new kitchen fitted in January 2016 which cost me £11,,500.00. The fitters were great, got on with the work and the work was finished in the two days that I had been quoted. I have had a few issues, I have emailed this company numerous times and have never received a reply (even after telling them that I was considering legal advice). The customer service after work has been done is zero. I am extremely dissatisfied with the complete lack of contact and would never recommend this company to anyone. The cost of my kitchen was expensive (at least to me it was) and if I had known then what I know now I would have thrown the "designer" out of my house.
I would also say that the "hard sell" of the products is verging on bullying, the "free holiday" is not worth the paper it is written on - it is basically a time share and when you are at the resort you have to give up a morning or afternoon to sit through a presentation and another "hard sell". Needless to say we never took up the offer of this "free" holiday.
DM Design had such promise, according to their salesman my Kitchen would be fully fitted in time for Christmas, he then duly took my cash and the deal was done. Yes the kitchen was installed before Christmas however the splashback which according to the salesman would add the "wow" factor is still to be fitted! I am now at the stage where calling them is futile as they will not commit to a date, I need it to be fitted on a Monday and this is apparently a huge problem and one that I do not see as being resolved any time soon. This is not unusual for DM Design as there have been many things said that had not been followed through,. I'm still waiting for the M&S vouchers that were to be sent as an apology. The FREE holiday I was promised also hasn't been honoured. I got so frustrated with the company and the lack of customer service that I posted on their facebook page. They did respond but nothing changed and they promptly removed my posts. So here I am on the 28th of January and still my kitchen is not finished! Their customer service and follow up is nothing short of appalling and it's such a shame as the kitchen (the bits I have) looks good!

9th January we purchased a part kitchen from dm design' 8.30am the fitters arrived promptly politely asked us to call thecompany and pay £8000 before they could proceed with the work. Having done this they commenced work and worked nonstop all day without lunch even asking us if they could work on untill 7.30pm so they wouldnt be inconveniencing us for a fullday the next day.
Unfortunately at 3pm another person appeared named James Marshall saying he was the electrician and I had a problem saying that I owed him£70 for whatever when I explained to him that I had already payed £8000 for the work to be done his exact words were I do not work for dm design I am self employed. I rang the company and they said he does work for the company and they would cdovwer the£70 he agreed this would be OK and did the job.
Later at 5pm he approached me again saying that the house was dangerous as it needed an earth prong and if I did not get my supplier he would not sign the job off and gave me an hour saying he would leave at 6pm.
I rang eon and it took me exactly an hour to speak to 9 different people to be told they could not do as there was no such thing. By the way I am 80 years of age. Severely disabled and in a panic. He carried on bullying me saying he was going on holiday in 2 days time but he would come back on the next day saying that it would cost me £200 cash for the deisel as he lived in Manchester.
The kitchen appears to be fine. The next day I contacted a local electrician who put an earthed in in ten minutes cost .£20 so if you are elderly beware of this "electrician"

Delighted from start to finish. All options explained in detail and maximizing the most of an awkward space. The kitchen is now much bigger with more storage, the finish of cupboards and worktops are excellent quality. Can't fault anything.
Both worked really hard all the time. Extremely polite, Excellent workmanship, very satisfied with the end product. One handle was missing but the guys came back a few days later and fixed.

I did not buy anything from this company but had a meeting with a bathroom designer. I informed him at the beginning of the meeting I was only looking for a quote. I felt that he was borderline bullying me into buying, and was very rude and patronising. My partner had left all of the decisions up to myself but bill kept insisting he would need both of us present. My parter made a brief appearance and then went back to what he was doing. Around 2 hours in he phoned someone and made a point of telling the person in a sarcastic manner that my partner had stayed put of the way. He quoted us £15500 to refurbish our bathroom with only tiles on a splashback and behind shower. When I said it was out of our price range he dropped it to £8700. I informed him we would need to discuss it and he got frustrated with me and demanded my parter come back so we could do so. I told him we would not be deciding anything that night and we would phone the next day should we want to go forward. He kept asking if I knew how much a bathroom costs and if I didn't take the offer of 8k then and there it would go up again to the 15k. I said that was fine we would contact the next day and he snorted at me and shook his head. I told him we would have to wrap this up as we were planning to leave the house soon and he sat outside our house for almost 20 minutes. I found this very off putting and unprofessional. I'm sure their installation is very well done and the fact you can be flexible with payment is good, but I would not use this company based on the 2 and a half hour experience I had.
Punctual, quick and well done work that was mostly completed in the first day, with only the kitchen sink and minor veneer work to be finished on the second day.
Workmen were all highly competent, polite and tidied as they worked.
Very satisfied with both the product and work done.

I had my kitchen renewed ,and although the initial work men who installed it were excellent ,I noticed I had been given a washing machine instead off a washer dryer after numerous phone calls to a lady (will not mentioned her name to save her embarrassment ) waffled on a bit ,however eventually two young lads (with no screwdriver came to change the washing machine for the washer dryer ,great I can get a washing done lol ,however when it went on to spin it bumped right across the kitchen taking the unit door off and damaging the door next to it ,again waffle from said lady ,at last the installation manager sent someone up ,a joiner who knew his stuff, apparently the young lads hadn't removed the bolts or positioned the feet .So disappointed can't even be bothered to get them back about the damaged unit ,I have also noticed a chip in one of my floor tiles .the washer dryer is rubbish (I had a bosch so extremely fed up with 1000 spin and no choice in dryer times

Gabor was an excellent worker. He worked very hard from the moment he came into our house until he left. He fitted the bathroom expertly and has left a beautifully finished room. He answered our many questions politely about the work. In addition the necessary disruption and dust/mess was kept to an absolute minimum. We have been very pleased with Gabor’s highly professional work.
Zully and Peter worked very hard. Really good workers. Mark (the plumber) was first to arrive on Day 1 and clearly explained what was going to happen. Mark (The Electrician) and his apprentice Will, were also very polite and sorted out all the electrics. A very professional team!

The reason I haven't given DM Design five stars is I feel the company can be improved by training the sales staff to appreciate design and incorporate this into the sales pitch. If we weren’t able to see past the sales men old fashion approach and have some appreciation for the product and were able to design our own kitchen we would have happily gone else where. We would have also appreciated some pre- install communication informing us about re-design changed required the planning regulations instead we found out about these from the fitters. All in all we are very happy with the finished result though.
Bathroom finished within 4 days. Great job done by the fitters. Very friendly, always checking if I was happy with the items and left everything very tidy.

The workmanship was excellent and they were all polite, punctual. The work was carried out over 16th (4.30) to 12.30 18th July. The quality and finish are excellet but there are some small parts need to be improved ie gap left behind sink, at the price charged I think a splashback should be icuded.

Dm Design came and fitted our new kitchen and a new on suite bathroom and I was happy with the job. I and my husband selected DM design through a family recommendation and are happy with the outcome and workmanship.
When we had our last kitchen installed we were less than delighted (company will remain nameless) so had apprehensions about this new kitchen. thankfully we were impressed by dm design's fitters and design people. The install was not without complications but all were handled quickly and professionally.
There was damage to one of the unit doors that we noticed after the install that although very minor was something that would have ruined the finished kitchen. I was suitably impressed that this was handled well when I requested it be repaired. They came out promptly and replaced the door without and quibble. Delighted with our en suite bathroom.
Cant knock their workmanship or service and handled issues quickly and well. Would have given 5 stars if not for the door being damaged.

We had someone out to the house to design our kitchen for us a couple of years ago. We had lots of companies out but DM Design really stood out and their materials are definitely a much better quality to anything else we saw. We got a really different layout because we could do things all different sizes and not just standard flatpack stuff. Fit was great, joiners were brilliant and were chatty and friendly (and funny). After a couple of years we needed to do our bathroom so we phoned them again. Another brilliant experience and stunning job. We've just now had our main bathroom done by them too and I am absolutely over the moon with it! I cant wait to show everyone, posted it on all my group chats that I could. I found the transformation of my kitchen a lot less upheaval than anticipated and it all happened in the space of two weeks. The salesperson was a great help and when the surveyor came he spotted a few things that had to be changed before the work started. Found the product supplied was of a higher and better quality than expected. These items are fitted very professionally and efficiently with the minimum of mess and upheaval on family life. We were very lucky to get all the tradesmen on our job. The plumber and electrition did a fantastic job and the joiners where fantastic. All the tradesmen were very polite and helpful. Brilliant! House built 1972, add 43 years = wonky walls, sloping floors, dropped ceilings. Fitters took account of all flaws and created square finished product – level and vertical. Absolutely perfect. That’s down to the standard of workmanship in fitting and quality of product.
Work finished ahead of time, all work or required adjustments undertaken collaboratively and ways found to accommodate my wishes. All in all an excellent job with only 5 cups of tea supplied!!

We contacted DM Design because we found a receipt from 1998 in the drawer of the fitted bedroom we inherited from the previous owner. We reckoned if they were still in business, they must be good. And they are! Graham designed the wonderful bedroom for us and the young man who came to measure up tweeked it to our exact needs. Robert (30 years with DM) and Charlie worked very long hours to strip out the old stuff(a big job) and complete installation. The work was over and done in 3 days! As they worked they were tidy, helpful and very professional. Unhesitatingly, I would recommend the company. No wonder they're still around!

1. Consultation: David Carr was very professional and has extensive product knowledge, He listened to our requirements and made recommendations, however he did not try to influence us or use hard selling tactics.
2. Survey: Graham Macbroom, is a very professional and thorough surveyor, He accepted the original plans however he made several recommendations to us to our benefit again. He made suggestions so that we would get the best options.
3. Installation: Duncan, Ali, Nicky, and Colin are all very professional and worked well as a team. They are very polite, courteous and extremely clean workers. They were very prompt and worked exceptionally hard removing the old kitchen and the installation of the new units is to a high standard. FIRST CLASS.
4. Overall: From the initial contact until completion DM Design have been a pleasure to do business with they are highly recommended.
DM customer reference no. 26028. I'm absolutely delighted by my new kitchen. The cupboards are beautiful and the closing mechanism which stops them being slammed are fantastic. The cabinet under the sink is great - my old one didn't have a shelf but this new one does which means the I can put all the stuff I had in without having to put some items on top of other items. It's true that the upper cupboards won't take large meat plates but the corner unit is perfect for them and the innovative hinged door makes it easy to get into without having a wasted space because of the difficulty of having one cupboard overlapping another one. The staff were great, they were efficient, hard working , tidy and clean, they covered the floors they were walking on and did all necessary work outside (that area was also covered). Everything was cleaned before they finished and left. There was one unexpected bonus - I won the holiday prize draw. I won three weeks to be taken one a year so my daughters and I are off to Tenerife in June. So it's a big thank you from me for the kitchen and a very big thank you from my daughters and me for the holidays. I've recommended you to friends, you aren't the cheapest option but you are the best option

About a year ago I had fitted furniture in the master bedroom and am pleased to say that I am delighted with the result. I'm thinking of having something similar done in the other bedroom -m although it will be some time before I feel that I will be able to afford for the work to be done. I am confident, however, that when the time is right i shall be equally satisfied with the workmanship.

The quality of the materials use is excellent, and I imagine these products will all retain their quality finish for years to come. Having purchased a DM Design kitchen 12 years ago it was the first place to go when we decided to renew. The designer gave excellent advice to suit our needs. Installation was efficient with the company being very flexible when required. The fitters were friendly and skilled and they even cleaned up after themselves!
