Zero stars pushy on consultation couldn't deliver goods despite promises. Wont answer phones or emails. Promises refund withing 21 days took 4 months constant calls refund bit by bit. They do not care pay by credit card or better still avoid.

Our first impressions were that we had found an excellent company, with a very friendly salesman and surveyor who both came promptly, but we very soon discovered the subsequent Customer Services communication was appalling! After payment of the deposit we heard nothing more and the promised delivery of 4 weeks became 12 weeks with no explanation despite repeated enquiries. Eventually, the Fitter did come and he a good job but windows were not to the actual specification agreed. We then found the Company's after sales service to be totally non existent - they simply do not return calls or answer emails. So, sadly we would not recommend them.

Dreadful!!! Used before and they were good. This time appalling. Did not turn up when supposed to and no call to inform me. Then when eventually turned up they said they do not do holes for cat flaps and that it was too late - despite having discussed this with the surveyor who made sure he noted down which door it was to go in. No reply to numerous emails and now door not opening/shutting properly. Also due to come back to replace damaged handle - no sign of them. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Not the company they used to be! Product poor and installation well below industry standard. Steer well clear.

I was recommend this company by a family member as they did a good job. However, I am not impressed and will not be recommending this company to anybody. The fitter was very polite and wasn't pushy. However we paid our deposit and was told the surveyor would call soon. Nearly FIVE weeks later we finally received a call, but this was only after I called numerous times to find out what was happening. The Surveyor arranged a date for the next week, however on that day he called to say he wasn't coming because he had two cancellations and didn't want to wait around. He was told that no one was in so he couldn't call earlier that day. I found out a few days later he had gone round to measure up when he was told no one was in. He measured the front and then a neighbour let him round the back. This is is unacceptable, trespassing for one and we had questions we wanted to ask. I then spoke to him when I found and asked him to come back on a Sunday. The Sunday was arranged but the Saturday before he called and said 'the weather is meant to be nice and i want to go out, can i come Monday' Appalling behaviour and customer service. Eventually he came and measured and we was told we would get a call for a date. Two weeks later we finally got a date. I have complained to the company but on our part nothing has happened. I wouldn't use these again!

Well this Company has sure gone downhill, years ago fine but now, awful. New management, new ethos, I'm not sure but whatever it is they are NOT what they used to be. The quality of the product is now poor, the fitters are subcontractors who seem to care less and just want to be on their way and the after sales care has gone altogether. Amongst other things when fitting a patio door they failed to recognise there was no lintel and the brickwork started to collapse, school boy error! I often leave reviews to help others and many of them are to positive, however, on this occasion my recommendation is look elsewhere.

New door fitted 5 years ago, nothing but continuous problems with the lock since. Had a replacement lock fitted twice and numerous so called 'engineers' coming out to fix the problems by squirting WD40 in the lock and all over my hall wall (when they remember to keep the appointments that is, twice forgotten!) Absolutely no aftercare, failure to respond to letters and emails, wouldn't trust them to fit a cat flap let alone another door or window. Avoid like the plague and go elsewhere!!

we have given them 2 stars only for the installer and the surveyor. like other reviews the communication from the office was not good at all I had to do all the chasing like one of the other reviewers it took much longer than stated. I would also not recommend them. The porch is looking good and lets hope that should I need after service it's better than the before service.

Salesman was pleasant as was the surveyor. Problems came when the surveyor allegedly didn't hand in the survey forms for 3 weeks. No one ever bothers to contact you out of courtesy to tell you of delays. When the windows and doors were fitted it was done by 1 man, who to be fair was really good but took 4 days as you would expect with a single man team. Unfortunately 1 of the sealed window units smashed on the outside pane. Again no courtesy call updating us after it was ordered and then was phoned by a lady today saying that it would be another week before someone was in the area to fit. They've had all of the money and still haven't finished a job that was ordered in april. It's August in 2 days. When you request someone from head office to call you they don't. After the messing around I would never recommend them which is a shame because if they took more care of their customers it would be a great service.

I had all the windows replaced, including a 5 part Bay to the front and back door and double conservatory door fitted dec/jan 2012/2013. The product is pretty good and looks nice and the price was very reasonable, unfortunately they ruin it completely with very shoddy workmanship. They forced the old windows out very roughly and then filled the holes with loads of ugly cement and white sealer. Their own repair person said "I wouldn't have left it like that" All the inside sealer is peeling off and split on every window they fitted. It is so bad I dont want them to redo it - I would rather pay extra for someone proper to come and redo it. They didnt turn up for hours on the first day and didnt bother letting me know - the workmen were polite enough tho. The whole fitting was extremely rushed and no care was taken at all. No one from the company bothered to contact me to see if I was happy or had any problems despite my not signing the satisfaction forms. All they want is your cash

What a joy !!! We had windows and a conservatory installed 5 years ago at our previous home in Saffron Walden and I was so pleased with the whole process that I wanted to order the same again with my new property. I was a little uncertain if they would be willing to travel so far, but this was taken in their stride. They finished my installation last week and I am not only pleased with how I was treated, but the finished conservatory and windows look lovely. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I have already spoken to family members about First Glass and will be recommending them to friends as well. Well Done First Glass I am so very pleased !

This is an update to my previous review. A company representative has been in touch and all issues are currently being sorted out. Communication was swift and effective on this matter since notifying the complaints department. 5 Stars for handling the situation, also good job on fitting the patio door and front composite door.

We have been using first glass for nearly 25 years always had good service, friendly staff, the fitters arrive on time clear up after the job is done. We have recommended to friends and family who have also had a good experience. When we did have a problem fitters came and rectified problem when they said they would. Delighted with new windows and front door.

Great product, great service! Excellent value for money. The staff including the fitters could not have been more helpful or provided better workmanship. The salesman was completely tuned into our requirements, unlike some other companies we got quotes from and no hard sell. GREAT!!

The doors were delivered and fitted exactly when you promised, and we are delighted with the finished result. I have no hesitation in recommending you to other potential customers.
