Ordered new kitchen window & door. On install day they didn’t show up. It’s now nearly 5 weeks since my promised installation date of 18 August. Still not a word from this abysmally run company about either return of my money or actual installation. If Insulating windows read this, don’t reply saying I should get in touch, why should I , it’s up to you to talk to your customers and keep them informed. YOU CALL ME. Having done some digging, I have found possible reasons why they haven’t installed and if they don’t get in touch soon I will make them public, suffice to say BEWARE, DO NOT HAND OVER ANY MONEY TO THIS COMPANY. K.Brackley ——————————————————————————————————————————————————————— Customer service sucks, promised call back didn’t happen, wasn’t until I got in touch with CEO did they bother to tell me they had supply issue and weren’t coming to fit my windows and door today. Your reply below to my original review. That’s my point!! you didn’t communicate at all, it was me who had to ring you and was promised an update, which never came. I eventually called you again last Thursday as you hadn’t called back and left a voicemail as nobody answered your phone. I sent a number of emails that eventually culminated in your CEO James McBride emailing me on Friday 18 August, as I waited for my install, who eventually admitted that you would not be installing as only the glass had arrived. Why does it need escalating to the CEO before I’m told, your email after the interim payment said you would call me, you didn’t. Why when you have a job booked why aren’t you chasing your suppliers to make sure the windows are delivered in time for install. Despite not being the cheapest quote I received, your sales manager Liz Regan convinced me to go with you again as you did a previous install without any issues. So despite your CEO saying your company would be in touch this week, I’ve still heard nothing from you by phone or email. A satisfactory solution would be you installing my windows as promised or returning all monies paid so I can get another company to do the job. Had composite door fitted with a ten year guarantee paint now peeling . I began a complaints procedure after numerous calls and failed promises from insulating windows we are now six months on and still no result .For a local company customer service is dreadful I am considering now taking legal action .

Company Response

Firstly the door is 6-7 years old. I have attached a picture of the door, which will demonstrate its poor condition. This is a door covered in scratches and one which appears to have taken much wear. The lady requested Insulating Windows to inspect the door as paint was bubbling on the cassettes around the sealed units. Our service engineer inspected the door and agreed that the paint was bubbling and would seek assistance from the door manufacturer Eurocell. Eurocell went and looked at the door. It was the conclusion of Eurocell that the door had been cleaned with a cleaning agent, which is not recommended. It is the opinion of the manufacturer that the issue with the door was as a result of the cleaning agent and therefore of the customers making. Insulating Windows have been awaiting a report back from Eurocell. The Eurocell representative was absent from the business for much of December due to illness. The industry has only just returned from the Christmas break. Mrs Cox claims that she has a 10 year warranty. Eurocell reported that they were under no obligation to honour the warranty due to the damage being caused by the homeowner. As a supplier Insulating Windows can only honour the manufacturers warranty. I understand that Eurocell have spoken with Mrs Cox and have told her of their finding. I am also told that they have said, whilst not accepting any blame, that they will replace the cassette as a gesture of good will. In summary Mrs Cox claims that we the local company provide poor customer service. We have raised her issue with the manufacturer. We have maintained contact with her informing her the actions we were taking. We organised for Eurocell to visit her property. I would request that the statement is removed from your web site.

They came highly recommended and did seem to do a good job. However a problem has occurred with the catch on one of the window. I couldn't open the window, they came and although I could now open it and I noticed they had taken the lock out, but it was catching. Subsequently Trying to speak to someone has been a trial, there never seems to be anyone there to take my calls, always promised a call back, never happens. When finally did managed to speak to Phil, who promised he would come and see the problem and hopefully solve it. He did not turn up. I waited In All day. Since I have not heard a dicky. No call, no explanation. Don't use them

I had a composite door fitted in 2012 Great sales woman (they always are) Grumpy and unfriendly fitters. The door looked good , but looks can be deceptive and they were. After six months the dropped out of alinement They readjusted it , three months later it was out of alinement again . Six times and one new hinge later it started letting water in flooding my floor. They now won't return my calls... I'm starting legal proceedings . So be warned stay away at all costs .

I had my windows fitted in Oct 2003 since then I have had to call them back at least a dozen times to replace the window hinges and a couple of handles. When they fixed the kitchen hinges they used the wrong type and had to replace them 2 times as both were wrong. My most recent request to replace my front window hinges was in March 2012 and I'm still waiting in Nov 2012. The small bedroom window I have not been able to open due to the broken mechanism inside also still waiting for repairs. After care/repairs I have found Insulating Windows to be not very customer focused. Hoping they will fix after seeing this review. Many thanks.

Insulating Windows have installed Windows in our terrace house, the two men did a brilliant professional job, installing a new porch and Windows and very courteous men. The service was excellent from start to finish and and a very competitive price. We would recommend insulating Windows and will constitute to use in the future as the Windows were so warm, insulating Windows are always available to ring for any advice and outstanding customer service, siobhan
