This company built my conservatory..The builder was great, have no complaints, the chap that installed windows was also excellent..
However the management was appalling, never returned any of our calls, never project managed the build, 2 years later we are not finished, they have not completed building regs, one window has blown , I rang emailed the company for 12 months , they never returned my calls.
Now I've just discovered the company have shut their doors, so I'm left unfinished with no guarantee and a blown patio window.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
Professional Sales, Incompetent installation, Poor communications.
Started in March still waiting for them to finish at the end of July.
Work progressed quite well initially with a few hold ups for the weather, when the base was finished the conservatory was installed quickly, then everything went off the rails.
We are having a conservatory built but also moving a door from our kitchen into the conservatory, however it seems County Windows forgot this and sent an electrician to do a first fix, however he couldn't do the whole job because the door hadn’t been moved, County Windows were intent on sending plasterers next before the door was done, I actually had to explain why this was a bad idea to them. There was then a huge delay because the guys who move doorways were scheduled for other work, eventually this happened and the electrician came back to finish his first fix, the room was plastered and the electrician finished his job off.
We are still waiting for the internal door to be installed, this is a simple wooden door, it was specified at the beginning of the job but they waited until the end of June to order it. Until the door is installed we can’t fit and paint the skirting board (which surprisingly THEY AREN'T going to do), we can’t have the furniture delivered in short, SINCE PAYING NEARLY £30,000 IN MARCH WE STILL CANNOT ENJOY OUR NEW CONSERVATORY AT THE END OF JULY.
Furthermore throughout the installation we have suffered from poor communications, someone called Harry, who organises the various tradesmen does not pass on information about when tradesmen are turning up, so you plan your day and lo and behold you get a knock on the the door and your day is cancelled, on the other hand he also doesn't let you know when someone ISN'T coming so you spend a whole morning or afternoon waiting for someone who was never coming anyway.
This Company were employed to install windows and doors to our property.
The windows and doors were the most appalling quality - multiple scratches, score marks, damaged window furniture and hundreds of marks between the glass units.
The survey and installation left us with an enormous gap under the patio doors and expanding builders foam and spacer bars holding the windows in.
Building Control would not pass the installation as safety glass and minimum means of fire escape regulations were not adhered to.
Having been encouraged to part with over £21,000 even though the installation was not completed and as County Windows would not accept our concerns or make any genuine attempt to complete the installation to a basic standard, we were left with no option but to pursue this Company through the Courts to have these windows and doors removed and our funds returned. After a two-year battle, we were successful.
County Windows have gone to great lengths to have my review removed, it is a great shame they didn't put the same effort into their customer service.

County Windows have gone to great lengths to have my review removed, stating that it is factually inaccurate and malicious. This is an honest and factually correct review, I have the documents and over two hundred photographs as evidence. It is a great shame County Windows didn't put the same effort into their customer service.
We endured a double-glazing nightmare at the hands of this Company.
We would not recommend this Company.
We placed a very large order for sash windows and doors.
When the windows were fitted we were appalled by the quality and standard of finish. The windows were delivered and installed with multiple scratches, scores and damaged window furniture. We identified over 200 marks between the sealed glass units - finger prints, debris etc. The windows did not comply with Building Regulations and would not be passed by the local Authority due to incorrect non safety glass and the minimum means of escape not being adhered to. The survey was incorrectly carried out which resulted in badly fitting windows and a gap under the patio doors of 30mm. Despite the fact that County Windows (Winchester) Limited secured over £21,000 of our money the installation was never completed and they would not accept our concerns or complaint. Following a two year legal battle we were successful in having our funds and legal costs returned, the windows removed and new windows installed by a different company. (We are delighted with our new replacement windows).
This is without doubt the worst Company and set of individuals we have ever had the misfortune to encounter.
We would not recommend this Company.

I needed assistance over the purchase of products for a Window repair I am undertaking.
The polite, prompt and really courteous reception I received from the ladies who took my call and transferred it to Jason on the Trade counter was exeptional!
Jason is a 'Star'. His ready knowledge and guidance enabled me to purchase precisely what I wanted on collection.
This was once the standard years ago, but sadly, rare commodity with far too many organisations nowadays .
Well done "County Glass"!
We have had Chris & Paul to install previous windows and have always been very happy. I would look to have them for any work as they are helpful and knowledgeable with a great attitude.
Very pleased, installers worked continuously & were very polite & professional. Would recommend.
No 'hard sell', fair quote, friendly staff, Paul and Chris worked well as a team and were careful and friendly.
Sales staff were very helpful. I visited the showroom several times. The operations manager, was very efficient and kept me appraised of the installation status. Especially with the fanlight glass replacement and changing the lock to a lever/pad arrangement for increased security.
We have been very impressed with County Windows. Our whole experience has been easy and hassle free with a non-pushy sale when we first visited, very reasonable price and flexible fitting to cater for our various extension phases. We have recommended County to my brother who is also doing an extension at the moment.
Very professional service - very pleased and would recommend
The windows were installed efficiently with little disruption and everything was left neat and tidy. Steve and Chris were both very pleasant and helpful and worked as a well organised team. Everyone we have dealt with at County Windows has been more than helpful so Thank you all very much.
We will recommend them (County Windows) to others looking for windows replacement.
I am extremely pleased with my new conservatory. Everyone involved has been helpful, pleasant and efficient. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend County Windows or use them again. Thank you.
In spire of the excessive heat of 33-34C in and out of the extension, the work rate of Chris and his assistant never faltered at any time, and I was invited to inspect every factor of their work on completion which as stated was of the highest standard. May I suggest you show my comments to both of these men in my appreciation.
