I have been waiting over 3 months for an internal glass roof panel in my Dolphin Windows fitted conservatory to be replaced after the original shattered for no apparent reason in April 2020.
I have been patient because of Covid-19 lockdown, but no updates or contact from Joel McPhillips is poor customer service!
RUN AWAY BEFORE ITS TOO LATE
It has been over a year since Joel and the team started work on our tiny (3.5 sq m) extension and kitchen diner conversion. Who would think that I would still be sitting here, a year later, without the extension work being approved and legalised by building control, with the project finally completed by another building company this summer - because Joel has disappeared without installing the sliding doors he had promised us in July 2017 (we provided 100 percent deposit at that time).
As Joel has disappeared and all the calls I made to him begging to provide us with the building specifications for the building control were either unanswered or not acted upon, we are now stuck with an extension that cannot be legalised. At least until we open up the roof, the floor/foundation and the wall and present all the internal structures to the building control officers. Not exactly how one would like to enjoy their new extension, huh?
So, if you ever consider Joel for some building work, think twice, or better - turn arond and run, before it's too late (as it unfortunately is in our case).
Just in case Joel comes in claiming it's all lies, we have email chains, paperwork, and photos to prove all of the above (plus ongoing talks with building control).
Also, that VEKA guarantee they show around is worth very little. We have tried. VEKA couldn't even enforce Joel to give us the building specs he was supposed to give us in order to get building permission.
I would strongly advise against ordering Veka uPVC French doors/windows through Dolphin Windows. Two deliveries cancelled last minute with no coherent explanations; unclear if they actually have a Veka supplier. Despite repeated update requests over several months, experienced complete apathy from Joel and Paul post my initial order.
Never turned to give a quote after making two appointments

Sloppy workmanship. Arrived late both days. Guys were nice but always seemed rushed which made them a bit slapdash. Left a mess.
I had double glazing units fitted in 2 rooms and would describe the workmanship as good.
The fitters were delayed initially, but advised me of this and subsequently arrived at the time they said they would. They were both courteous & amenable.
The work was done on 22 May
We choose to use Dolphin Windows Company for a reason. The Company and Joel McPhillips delivers a superior job. My property was left spotless and free of all debris. The products they installed were cleanly executed and carefully rendered to ensure a perfect outcome. I can’t say enough about the professional work ethic of the men that worked on my Conservatory.It was a daunting job and it was carried out flawlessly. I highly recommend this team and company to deliver an exceptional product and service. They went out of their way to make everything perfect and I am especially grateful and very happy with the results. Tough job and well done, Thank you very much!

This is the second time that we have asked Dolphin Windows to undertake some double glazing works for us and as before we have found the whole experience to be very satisfactory in deed. The quality of the workmanship and products used are first class. Also Joel and his team take great pride in meeting customer requirements - it just seems to be the norm for them. The team are friendly but always act very professionally.

Still waiting for a few items to be completed (obscured glass in the bathroom, etched number on glass above door, spy hole door knocker) but hopefully these will be completed soon. Really happy with the quality of the windows and the fitting.
I am very impressed with Dolphin windows sales and fitting service. They provided me with all the information I needed to make a decision. They gave information in both verbal and written format and answered all of my questions. They showed me an example of the door so that I could see the quality. They were also very accommodating and adjusted my order when I made minor adjustments. In comparison to another local double glazing installer that I contacted to get comparison quote, Dolphin windows was very straightforward and upfront.
