Palmers of Trent Bridge

would not recommend palmers following my horrendous experience where I was left without a bathroom for 3 months. We had a fantastic consultation with Barney and he was a great sales person who designed a lovey bathroom design, HOWEVER Our initial installation began in Sept 2022 with a 3 week plan with one of Palmers “approved” installers. During the 1st 2 weeks the installer went AWOL on the job for 3 days and no one could contact them, and then they brought their child to work at my house for 2 of the days… into the 3rd week the installer disappeared again and this time did not return. Unfortunately, as the bathroom was nearly completed and we felt protected by palmers- we paid the installer in full. A mistake we would soon regret. It was weeks (with no bathroom) before Palmers finally contacted us with a new tiler. This tiler came round and discovered that the tiles were so poorly attached to the walls that they would need to all be completely removed and the bathroom restarted. The tiles were cracked / damaged/ uneven and had been dot and dabbed. Palmers hadn’t been to see the work throughout the entire process and still didn’t come out after this devastating news. There was then 3 months of constant back and forth with Palmers whilst I desperately tried to get them to send someone to fix our bathroom. However after the 4th “approved” tradesperson they sent in, each one making the bathroom worse / not turning up for work / not being able to complete the work I told Palmers that I wouldn’t have any more of their rogue installers entering my house. I was left with plastered walls and the bathroom suite and tiles around my house - no working bathroom. During this I challenged what compensation I would receive for 3 months without a working bathroom and was told “palmers don’t do compensation” and I was offered a measly voucher which I declined. I then went into long discussions with their MD and eventually managed to agree a refund to allow me to get a competent person to install the bathroom - Palmers do not seem to have anyone competent working on their books and they have no interest in overseeing the installs themselves. Do not use.
