Ultimate Bathrooms

I would actively warn people away from this company and the chap who fits the bathrooms for them. We had an ensuite designed, provided and installed by this outfit. They charged us absolutely top dollar of everything and the parts we got were no better than what you'd get at Howdens or B&Q. Their plumber was an absolute charlatan - he was sloppy and stretched the job out just so he could charge maximum and used our bedroom as his storage shed to add insult to injury. I wish we had never used them and advise you not to make the same mistake we did. The installer after telling us that we didn't need an extractor reluctantly changed his story and conceded that we did indeed need an extractor after the job was just about complete - then he pretended to attach the extractor to a hose which went to an external wall vent. I have literally just removed the fan and seen that he has sloppily put a little hosing around the fan and just left it hanging into the roof void. He lied about pretty much everything but kept telling us how brilliant and top notch they were. Do not go near these people. They don't deserve to trade. You have been warned!

Very poor to none exsisting after sales, contacted them 10 days ago a message was tacken and I was informed someone will get back to me, phoned again still needing the part same happened, 10 days later and no contact from them. To pay out thousands that they are happy to take but not be bothered when a part need replacing is very poor, when we renew we will go to B&Q or Wicks who car about the products they sell.

Had ensuite and cloakroom updated by Ultimate bathrooms. Whereas all other bathroom suppliers used current competitive prices, Ultimate bathrooms used top RRP with very little discount. I paid over £9000 for the fixtures/ fittings / tiles etc. When I compared what I'd been charged against average internet prices for the items it came to approx £3300. Then £3250 to fit. Found out that the fitters are NOT employed by Ultimate bathrooms who only use external contractors. I eventually found out that I had been charged £250 project management / design (hand drawn on scrap of paper) / delivery for the eunsuit AND for the cloakroom which were done at the same time (that's £500). Anyhow, progress was painfully slow with contactors often working only half days or finishig early having to wait for tile cement to dry or for some other lame reason. I had hoped that the job would be completed for the wifes birthday and after insisting that the fitters concentrated (after 2 and a half weeks) on the cloakroom before finishing the ensuite they walked off the job (No, they did not get paid). So, I had to get someone else in to complete the job as Ultimate bathrooms said they couldnt get anyone else. Contractor had not checked delivered items and we eventually found out that some items were "ex-stock" and several seals missing from sink waste. Also several small (but expensive) items charged had not been delivered. for example, £50 for a chrome pipe installation kit (for radiator, £10 on eBay, £15 or less most other places) had not been delivered. I had to find my own replacements. NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL.

We can only give praise to our bathroom fitter, Chris, who is self-employed. He was reliable, friendly and highly professional. He kept us informed of progress and consulted us when personal decisions needed to be made. We trusted not only his high quality of workmanship but him as a person and were happy to leave him in the house when we had to go out. He admitted he is a perfectionist and is proud of his work and it shows! Every evening he would tidy up and leave the bathroom or en-suite ready for the next day. Chris rarely took a break [ only for coffee ] and was extremely industrious throughout the six weeks he was with us. We can highly recommend Chris. He's a gem!
