EYG (East Yorkshire Glazing)

The salesman did his job and we were convinced EYG were the company to fit our new windows. We soon realised that they weren't. We signed the contract, a standard form with little hand drawn sketches on the bottom, not to scale. On the first day of installation we should have realised things weren't right when the Fitters installed the first windows with no spirit level in sight!! Hence they weren't straight and they had to be refitted. Sadly things went from bad to worse. The window design was a shock, we weren't advised that the lounge and kitchen windows would have a thick central bar, straight across our eye line. (See photo) We chose EYG as we thought we were employing a company that had experience and knowledge to provide us with the design and quality we expected, sadly we haven't been impressed. When we complained, basically we were told you signed the contract....(with the not to scale sketches)! The design of the kitchen and sewing room windows were comical, (yet EYG couldn't see what was wrong!), The window panes didn't match..landscape and portrait mixed! see photo. ...we had to get EYG back to change these, when they did they broke the replacement glass as the Fitter didn't have the correct tools with him! I could go on and on, broken sills (which the Fitters didn't have the decency to tell us they had done). ...lost keys for upstairs patio doors ...on the whole poor workmanship and not what we expected from a so called reputable company. As one of your recent advertisement says...WHY CHOSE EYG? Our industry accreditations make us stand out from the competition......Well sadly for us you stand out for all the wrong reasons.
